Publication number: 20120251268Abstract: A screw includes a screw head and a shank connected to the bottom of the screw head. The screw head has a cavity on the top to be wrenched by a screwdriver. The shank is formed in a cylindrical shape and has a point at a distal end, a triangular thread portion helically formed thereon and extended upwards from the point and a circular thread portion extended contiguously upwards from the triangular thread portion. The triangular thread portion has a plurality of thread cusps formed annularly at different angles. The triangular thread portion and circular thread portion have asymmetrical threads. The triangular thread portion has serrated cutting edges on the circumference. Thus the screw can be screwed into a work piece with less friction force and fastened faster and firmer with less effort.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2011Publication date: October 4, 2012Inventor: Su-Lan YU

Patent number: 8267730Abstract: The invention relates to a device for connecting two electrical conductors (4, 5), comprising a metallic clamp (1) that is designed as a pipe section and that comprises in the wall thereof at least two through holes provided with a thread for receiving clamping screws (2) provided with an external thread. In the pipe section of the clamp (1), at least one central through hole provided with a thread is furnished between the two through holes in order to receive a fixing screw (3) provided with an external thread, wherein the fixing screw has a tapered, approximately wedge-shaped tip (11), which, in the assembled position, lies rigidly against the end faces of the two conductors (4, 5) inserted into the pipe section. The tip (11) provided with an external thread is screwed into a hole (10) of the fixing screw (3) provided with an internal thread, and the external thread of the tip (1) runs opposite to the external thread of the fixing screw (3).Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2010Date of Patent: September 18, 2012Assignee: NexansInventors: Gert Stauch, Volker Markgraf, Peter Groetsch

Patent number: 8235636Abstract: A precision kinematic adjustment screw for optical mounts controls the position of the stage plate relative to the base plate so that the position is stable, consistent and reproducible. Use of a spring-loaded spherical member that is free to rotate independent of the screw minimizes friction between the proximal end of the screw and the contact surface of the stage plate and reduces the potential for deformation and/or abrasion of the contact surface.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2008Date of Patent: August 7, 2012Inventor: Eugeniusz Kozak

Publication number: 20120141229Abstract: This invention relates to a wall hanging load bearing device that includes a threaded shaft having a pointed first end and a second end opposite the first end. This invention further includes a disc member connected to the second end of the shaft. The disc member includes a first planar surface, a second planar surface opposite the first planar surface, and an arcuate channel connecting the outer perimeter regions of the first and second planar surfaces. An object to be hung on a wall, such as a painting, can be hung on this invention by placing a wire attached to the back of the painting in the arcuate channel of the disc member. The invention distributes the load of the wall hanging over the perimeter of the disc member.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2010Publication date: June 7, 2012Inventor: Jack Lalouf

Publication number: 20120063865Abstract: The present invention discloses a screw, which comprises a shaft, a head and a thread. The shaft has an awl on one end thereof. The head is formed on the other end of the shaft and has an engagement groove. The thread is formed on the surface of the shaft and spirally extends from the awl to the head. The thread has two surfaces whose edges are connected with each other to form a cutting edge. The thread includes at least one receiving groove having a guiding face, a collecting face and a connecting face. The connecting face connects the guiding face and the collecting face to form a debris-receiving space. The debris-receiving surface penetrates the two surfaces of the thread. The connecting face has a crushing portion with a ragged surface. Thereby, the screw can provide higher locking strength.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 23, 2010Publication date: March 15, 2012Applicant: Sheh Fung Screws Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yuan-Chieh Huang, Teh-Ling Chen
