Abstract: Disclosed is a means of locking the head of a screw to an abutting area. This is depicted in (FIG. 5) reference numeral (52) whereby the screw-head is locked in place to the abutting area (26) via filling void areas (56) and (32) with plasticized materials which then become solid. The voids are such that the head of the screw (52) cannot be located in any position in relation to the abutting area (26) but that some voids and some metal projections approximate each other, partial or complete. The locking material becomes a part of a seal to the septic area of the dental implant system (FIG. 6), (56) and (52). The septic area seal (FIG. 2) is completed with a small layer of sealing cement in that area between the abutment (26) distal end (44) and the proximal end of the implant body (24).

The threaded portion is intended to be screw into the thread of the wheel hub via a recess arranged in a central portion of a vehicle wheel. The lock member is an endless, smoothly undulating or curved lock member. The dimensions of the sleeve are adapted to the dimensions of the recess so that regions of the central portion adjacent to the recess encompass substantially entirely and closely a circumference of the sleeve when the threaded portion has been screwed into the thread. The invention can be applied to all types of vehicle wheels, and is particularly advantageous for exclusive private cars with special rims.

Abstract: A securing mechanism is provided which can be attached to a conventional meter box lid which does not require the lid to be redesigned. The securing mechanism comprises a holding member attached to the latch on the underside of the lid. A threaded aperture is formed in said holding member. A bolt having a threaded shaft is extended through the upper wall of the lid from the top side to be secured into the threaded aperture of the holding member for preventing a key from moving the latch member to a release position. In the embodiment disclosed, the bolt has a head with two spaced apart apertures formed therein for receiving two prong of tool for allowing the bolt shaft to be screwed into and from the threaded aperture for locking and release purposes.

Abstract: A car wheel anti-theft device having a lug nut and a sleeve installed onto the bolt of the car wheel and an individual wrench to install and remove the lug nut from the bolt. The lug nut and the sleeve each include an engaging flange. When the lug nut is secured within the sleeve, the engaging flange of the sleeve engages the engaging flange of the lug nut, thereby preventing the bolt from being removed and the wheel from being moved. The lug nut has a front surface having a key projection of a particular shape. The individual wrench includes a cylindrical cavity having a bottom surface. The bottom surface has a key opening extending from the bottom surface towards the depth of the individual wrench. The key opening preferably has a shape complementing the particular shape of the key projection of the lug nut.

  • Patent number: 6547475
Abstract: An anti-theft device secures a removable body part, such as a viewing unit, to a microscope stand. The device is intended to replace a common thumbscrew used to fix the location of a removable body part in a corresponding guide of the microscope stand, and comprises a housing threaded into a tapped hole in the stand for carrying a plunger and a driver both movable within an axial passageway in the housing. The driver is threadably adjustable by hand between driving and non-driving positions with respect to the plunger, and the plunger has a limited range of motion so that it may retract enough to allow the removable body part to be adjusted within the guide but not enough to allow the body part to be removed from the guide when the driver is in a non-driving position. The housing is tightened onto the microscope body by a tool such as a wrench, and the driver is held captive by a snap ring fitting within an internal groove near a trailing end of the housing.
