In one embodiment, the upright members are a housing and a support wall. In another embodiment, the uprights are elongated members and include a cross bar disposed horizontally and in spaced parallel relation to the mounting plate when the barrier plate is raised and is disposed vertically and transverse to the mounting plate when the barrier plate is in the lowered position.

    Abstract: A keg conveying trolley has a pair of wheels, a central post and a slide which carries a hook for grasping the keg rim. The slide is lockable at different keg heights. A foot plate assists in tipping the trolley to an inclined position for wheeling the keg from one place to another. The keg stacking version has a winch worked by hand or a cordless drill. The keg is supported by a rise and fall carriage. The carriage can be modified to be multitask. Variants can lift gas bottles on their side, truck tyres for placing on wheel studs and odd shaped loads.

The unit consisting of the roller screw mechanism (19) and the hollow-shaft electric motor (23) operates in principle like a known hydraulic cylinder and also has approximately the same dimensions, with the result that hydraulic cylinders can be replaced by roller screw mechanisms (19) with hollow-shaft electric motors (23) without significant modifications to the tail lift (13).
