Abstract: A hitch mounted forklift assembly includes a primary member that is insertable into a hitch receiver of a truck. A coupler is coupled to the primary member and the coupler is exposed when the primary member is positioned in the tow hitch. A lifting rail is provided that has a track gear integrated therein and a motor is coupled to the primary member. A drive gear is rotatably coupled to the motor and the drive gear engages the track gear in the lifting rail. The lifting rail is lifted upwardly or lowered downwardly by the drive gear when the motor rotates the drive gear. A cross member is coupled to the lifting rail and a plurality of tines is each from the cross member. The plurality of tines lifts and lowers a hay bale for transport.
Abstract: A preferred embodiment of a lift and carrier assembly for a personal-transportation vehicle includes a deck frame, a platform, and a trolley assembly mounted on the deck frame. The trolley assembly includes a drive nut, a motor for rotating the drive nut, and a drive screw threadably coupled to the drive nut so that rotation of the drive nut causes the platform and the drive motor to translate linearly in relation to the deck frame. The lift and carrier assembly also includes an arm assembly mounted on the trolley system and comprising a first and a second arm member, and an actuator pivotally coupled to the first and second arm members for moving the first and second arm members so that first and second arm members move the platform between an upper and a lower position in relation to the deck frame.

Abstract: Apparatus for dumping the contents of a container, for example, a drum, includes a first frame for receiving tines of a fork lift, a second frame for receiving a drum pivotally mounted on the first frame and a latch secured to the second frame. The latch is held by a normally extended spring in a first position latching the first frame and the second frame together. The latch includes a latch pin which extends downward below the bottom of the drum when the drum is raised from the ground for emptying. The raised drum is moved forward into position so that the latch pin engages an upper edge of a receptacle for receiving contents of the drum. As the raised drum is moved further forward with the latch pin still engaging the upper edge of the receptacle, the latch moves into a second position compressing the spring and releasing the second frame from latched engagement with the first frame. This allows the drum to pivot on the first frame to an inverted position for emptying.
