Abstract: Tube roller pumps for blood treatment devices are disclosed. The pumps include a curved surface with a rotor rotatable therein. The rotor attaches via a shaft reception to a drive shaft of the pump. The rotor has a first locking element for axially locking the rotor on the shaft and a second locking element for rotationally coupling the shaft and the rotor. The shaft reception and the drive shaft guide the rotor to a position on the shaft, when pushed onto the shaft, and, at this position, the first element may be moved by the shaft from locked to released. The rotor, when pushed further onto the shaft, is moved to another position at which the first element is automatically moved back to locked and the second element may be brought into manual engagement with the shaft to transmit torque from the shaft to the rotor.

One of the critical components in the peristaltic pump system is the pump tubing which now can be monitored so that the health of the peristaltic pump is known. The result is a “smart” peristaltic pump using a notch or other part in a second spring-clamp or tubing holder. Located on two ? 316 inch shoulder screws are two roller clutches and two spacers to complete the assembly of the pump. The distance between the two rollers allows the tubing to elongate but not move backward toward the peristaltic rollers.

  • Patent number: 9033687
Abstract: The invention relates to a hose pump for delivering a medium conveyed through a hose, including a housing, a drive, a carrier rotatable with respect to the housing, and a plurality of squeeze rollers that are mounted rotatably on the carrier and can be driven by the drive via a gear with a sun wheel and with a first planet wheel connected so as to rotate with the respective squeeze roller, wherein rotating squeeze rollers, during operation of the pump, press a hose, which is inserted into the pump, by squeezing the hose against an abutment and in this way convey the medium onwards through the hose in the delivery direction. In order to permit easier and quicker insertion of a hose in such a hose pump, the invention proposes that, in addition to the first planet wheel, each squeeze roller is also assigned at least a second planet wheel, which is coupled to the inner circumference, acting as a hollow wheel, of the housing in order to set the carrier in rotation from the drive during operation of the pump.

Abstract: A tube pump reduced of the burden against pump driving caused by dragging of a tube by a pressurizing roller. Specifically, guide members are disposed in the respective introduction portions at between the guides. Namely, the guide members are arranged nearby the extensions of the circumference of the arcuate guides and radially with respect to the center of the circumference. Due to this, the pump tube, the roller is to drag, is sustained by the guide member, to prevent the tube from increasing its deformation due to dragging. Thus, the tube can be prevented from being dragged in a manner forming a resistance to the roller. As a result, the pump motor, etc. can be prevented from being burdened with an increasing load.

An occlusion adjustment knob for adjusting a radial position of the first and second roller slides and a magnetic detent assembly for providing an audible indicator as the occlusion adjustment knob is rotated.

Abstract: A pump 15 disposed in an ink-jet recording device has flexible tube 103 and guide member 106 whereon a prescribed part of the tube is mounted. Roller 105, of which there is at least one and which pressurizes and deforms tube 103, is supported by lever 107 such that it pressurizes the tube when it rotates in the forward direction and releases the pressure on the tube when it rotates in the reverse direction. This lever 107 is urged by spring 108 in the direction that presses the roller against the tube.

  • Patent number: 6203296
Abstract: A miniature peristaltic pump includes a rotor with three turning rollers, a support piece with a rounded portion arranged substantially concentric to the rotor and against which, when operating, the rollers are brought to compress a flexible tubing connected to a reservoir of solution to push it outwards and for automatically compensating positional deviations between the roller and the support piece. Each roller has a substantially cylindrical body and a shaft on which the body is rotatably mounted. The ends of the roller shafts are located in oblong slots radially recessed in the rotor. The compensating device includes two springs arranged at the respective ends of the shafts and have a central port concentric to the rotor and three curved spring arms, one for each roller, with one end connected to the central part and the other end bearing on the corresponding end of a roller shaft to push it outwards and thus enable it to exert a substantially constant force of pressure.
