Abstract: A fire guidance device for a hand fired weapon is suitable for day and night deployment for large caliber and slow flying ammunition or missiles, such as, for example, 40 mm grenade throwers and anti tank weapons. The fire guidance device also serves to determine and automatically adjust a set-up angle for adjustment of ballistics, and a lateral angle for spin correction. The fire guidance device is attached to the weapon so it can be tilted automatically or manually and twisting is thereby dependent upon a required set-up angle of the weapon so that direct view, by the operator, to the target is preserved. For spin correction, a defined angle in horizontal orientation is adjusted between axes of the fire guidance device and the weapon. Alternatively, the fire guidance device is mounted vertically and a required cant (tilt) is then indicated in a display, followed by tilt adjustment.
Abstract: A rear aperture sight for use in conjunction with a front sight post sight on a rifle. The front sight post has a horizontal top edge and vertical side edges. The rear aperture sight comprises a rear sight adapted to be mounted on the rifle. The rear sight has a horizontally elongated aperture formed therein having height and width dimensions. The width dimension is greater than the height dimension. The aperture is defined by two circular segments s1 and s2 having chords c1 and c2, respectively, defined by included angles ?1 and ?2, respectively, of circles having radii R1 and R2, respectively. The chords c1 and c2 have heights h1 and h2, respectively. Radii R1 and R2 and angles ?1 and ?2 are selected such that chords c1 and c2 are of equal length. The circular segments are positioned such that chords c1 and c2 are co-linear and oriented horizontally.

A paraboloid reflector is mounted in the head portion to face the window opening, and a high intensity electric arc Xenon lamp is adjustably mounted within the reflector so that the electrode gap is located as close as possible to the focus of the reflector. An adjustable mounting base allows the position of the reflector to be adjusted until the optimum focus is reached. A properly positioned cathode wire feed optimizes the lamp performance.

Abstract: A cross bow assembly that combines the use of a peep sight as a rear sight and the quick range finder as a front sight to quickly ascertain the appropriate target and distance without the aid of other devices. The device alleviates the need to use a separate range finder to find distance because it is incorporated into the front sight giving instant, accurate distances when sighting, saving time and improving the hunter's ability to make precise accurate shots quickly.
Abstract: A night sight includes a notched bottom portion, permitting the use of a large objective lens for maximized light gathering capability while also permitting the night sight to be mounted with its center line relatively close to the center line of the barrel of the weapon with which it is used. This configuration permits the night sight to be mounted so that its center line is the same as the center line of a daytime telescopic sight used in conjunction with the night sight. The night sight includes a focusing assembly having decreased sensitivity to tilt or decenter, and a collimator mounted within a spherical bearing so that the collimator may be precisely aligned during assembly of the night sight. The night sight thereby ensures that an image viewed through the night sight appears to originate from the same angle as that with which the image entered the objective lens, and further resists a need to compensate for parallax during aiming.
