  • Patent number: 10627191
Abstract: An accessory mounting device to pivotably mount an accessory to a weapon such as a firearm provides recoil dampening and generally may also include an accessory mount, a weapon attachment base, an arbor, and a detent mechanism. Advantageously, to flip or rotate the accessory mount through about 90 degrees between a first position above the base and a second position along a side of the base requires only grasping the accessory mount and rotating it from either of the positions through 90 degrees to the other position. No separate manual action to disengage any type of locking device is required, nor is any longitudinal or lateral translation of the mount involved. The function of providing stabilized, consistent location in each of the two positions, resistance to movement from each position, and manual movement of the mount that overcomes the resistance and rotates between the positions is provided by the detent mechanism.

  • Patent number: 10352658
Abstract: A scope and mount block assembly for a rifle includes a scope having sets of spaced apart ribs for seating into complementary arcuate grooves in scope mount components. An underside keyseat in the scope aligns with a complementary keyseat in a scope mount block, and a key residing in the combined volume of both keyseat enforces this alignment. The scope mount blocks clamp to any standard rail such as a Picatinny rail. When the scope is removed, leaving the blocks in place, it can be reattached so that the key reestablishes its alignment to the rifle and no re-sighting of the scope is required. Also, careful selection of pitches for the scope ribs and for spaced apart features for engagement of the mount blocks to a mounting rail can offer much finer incremental location of the scope on the rifle for more precise adjustment of eye relief.

According to the system, while the user is looking at the object through said zero magnification power scope by the first eye and looking at the object through the photographic camera scope by the second eye, the target visible to the first eye is simultaneously visible to the second eye, so as to provide immediate acquisition and viewing of the object through the photographic camera scope by the second eye.
