Abstract: A shoulder gun stock assembly has a comb piece coordinated with a shoulder piece and an associated recoil assembly. The comb piece and shoulder piece remain stationary during shooting while the recoil assembly absorbs the recoil. The comb piece provides a stationary cheek rest which eliminates the cheek-chafing action usually associated with the operation of shoulder firearms.

Abstract: An adjustable gun butt assembly includes two plates, one of which is attached to the gun butt and the other which is attached to a resilient shoulder pad. The two plates move relative to one another by way of an eccentric cam disposed in one of the plates. The plates are held in frictional contact to one another by a single set screw accessible through an aperture in the resilient shoulder pad. The shoulder pad may be adjusted orthogonally by way of the cam and additional vertical movement is allowed by way of an extended slot. Sand paper may be fixed to one of the plates to provide a frictional grip between the two plates when the set screw is tightened.

Abstract: A pair of oppositely oriented cylinders are telescopically arranged to contain an assembly of piston, plunger and springs. One of the cylinders carries a recoil pad, and the other cylinder is mounted within the butt end of a firearm stock. Recoil forces are interrupted in their transfer to the recoil pad by operation of the assembly.

Abstract: A sports pistol comprises a housing, which extends in a substantially prismatic recess formed in a grip and is held in that recess by means of a fixing screw that extends upwardly from the bottom of the grip. In order to permit an adaptation of the pistol to the attitude of the hand of a given shooter, the housing extending in the recess defines clearances with the side faces, the bottom surface and the rear surface of the recess and is supported on the bottom surface and on the rear surface of the recess by respective pairs of adjusting screws, which are disposed on opposite sides of the vertical longitudinal center plane of the housing. Besides, the fixing screw extends at an oblique angle to the bottom surface and at an oblique angle to the rear surface of the recess and is screwed into a member that is mounted in the housing for rotation on an axis which is normal to the vertical longitudinal center plane of the housing.

Abstract: A contoured gunstock for fixed hand engagement includes a sideways projecting portion for accommodating a user's trigger hand in combination with an adjustable arm or back engaging attachment fixed to the butt of the gunstock. The sideways projecting portion allows one to most conveniently absorb the recoil of the rifle. The forearm of the rifle may include elongated recesses or grooves to accommodate a user's front hand. Alternately, the forearm of the rifle may advantageously include a flared out hand gripping portion at the front end of the forearm, the hand gripping portion having an increased height and width over the rest of the forearm.

Abstract: An improved gun/magazine system which is top loading and wherein the magazine is of generally cylindrical configuration. A spiral drive of the cartridges through the magazine into the top loading receiver of the gun is provided. The magazine includes a spring/winder having a silent clutch which permits tensioning of the drive spring at any time and even immediately before use, and which has a release means in order to permit relaxing of the spring in the event the unprecedented large capacity of cartridges is not entirely expended from the magazine. The cylindrical shaped magazine is mounted above, parallel to, and closely adjacent to the axis of the gun.

Abstract: A pistol grip with a collapsible stabilizing wing pivotally secured to the frame of a pistol and resiliently biased to an open position which is generally perpendicular to the pistol frame. A locking mechanism secures the stabilizing wing in its closed position, parallel to the pistol frame, and a release mechanism is operable to selectively unlock the stabilizing wing allowing it to spring to its open position for two hand firing.

Abstract: A grip and folding stock assembly mounted and arranged on a compact gun for facilitating use of the gun in various firing positions. An L-shaped bracket has one end secured to the distal end of a pistol grip emanating from the undersurface of the receiver of the gun, and the other end secured to the undersurface of the rearward end of the receiver. Mounted in this way, the bracket defines a forearm receiving portion for stabilizing the gun while firing. A folding stock is pivotally mounted to the rearward end of the receiver of the weapon. The stock is operative between three positions. In a first position, the stock is folded and brought into close proximity to the pistol grip. In a second position, the stock is placed into a position suitable for shoulder firing. In a third position, the stock is placed into a position suitable for underarm firing. A cartridge magazine of improved construction fits within the pistol grip.

Abstract: A firearm employs a gun recoil apparatus wherein the comb portion of the stock is fixed relative to a butt end plate. The stock includes a base portion movable with respect to the comb portion. The base portion has at least one guide bore therein which extends longitudinally with respect to the base portion. The butt end plate includes at least one guide rod affixed thereto which is received and slidable within the guide bore. Means are included for fixedly securing the comb portion of the stock to the guide rod whereby the base portion can, upon firing, move relative to the comb portion and butt end plate. Means are provided for adjusting the height of the comb portion above the base portion.

Abstract: A carbine comprising an improved stock assembly kit combined with a barrel and action assembly of preselected generic style or configuration, preferably that of a U.S. M1 carbine. The improved stock assembly includes a buttstock comprised of opposed concave half-sections which embrace and capture the trigger, receiver and operating slide mechanisms of the barrel and action assembly in upside-down orientation. A trigger assembly is mounted to the barrel forwardly of the buttstock section and is coupled to the trigger mechanism of the barrel and action assembly by a trigger slide which extends through the buttstock section. A forehand stock section is comprised of an opposed pair of stock half-sections which embrace that portion of the trigger assembly which engages the barrel and form a cavity for cooling air surrounding the barrel which extends therethrough.

Abstract: An adjustable pistol grip includes a palm portion and a forepiece portion which is adjustably secured to the palm portion so that the width of the grip can be adjusted. The grip is attached to the receiver of a pistol, and the grip can swivel on the receiver to adjust the angle between the grip and the barrel of the pistol. A heel plate extends laterally outwardly from the bottom portion of the grip and is adjustably secured so that the distance between the heel plate and the receiver can be adjusted.

Abstract: A gunstock is provided with a cheekpiece which can be adjusted laterally and vertically relative to the gunstock. A pair of cams with eccentric pins are threadedly mounted on threaded studs on the gunstock, and each eccentric pin extends into a slot in the cheekpiece. When the cams are rotated on the studs, the eccentric pins move up or down and to the right or left to adjust the cheekpiece. The cheekpiece is held on the gunstock by a bolt which extends through the cheekpiece into a nut which is slidably mounted in a transverse slot in the gunstock.

Abstract: A butt assembly adapted to be coupled to the end face of the stock of a weapon adapted to be fired from the shoulder, such as a shotgun or the like, comprises a body member including a plate-like portion and mounting studs extending forwardly from the plate-like portion, the mounting studs having bores formed therethrough and extending into bores formed in the rearward end face of the weapon stock to mount the body member thereon, and a butt plate mounted on the plate-like portion of the body member by threaded fastener members which extend through bores formed in the butt plate into the bores of the mounting studs. The butt assembly may also comprise one or more extension members interposed between the body member and butt plate and mounted in position by the same threaded fasteners.

Abstract: A pump gun having a forend element which is adapted to be reciprocated manually parallel to the barrel of the gun to feed successive rounds of ammunition to a firing location and cock the gun, with a handle connected to the forend element for reciprocation therewith and projecting generally transversely therefrom and therebeyond to facilitate cocking and holding of the gun. The handle may be mounted to swing between positions in which it projects in different directions from the forend element, and be releasably detented in any of those positions. The forend may have an outer surface formed of an elastomeric material for cushioning contact therewith.

Abstract: The firearm has a rigid frame comprising a pair of vertically spaced substantially parallel hollow rods which are interconnected at their respective front and rear ends by vertical crosspieces. A barrel is mounted between the hollow rods and at the end of the barrel in the vicinity of the rearward end of the frame is a breech assembly which is interconnected to both the upper and lower rods. A shoulder support is mounted on the rear ends of the rods and positioned symmetrically with respect to the barrel. The shoulder support and other components of the firearm such as the pistol grip, front stock, rear stock and sight means are each individually and independently adjustable on the frame so as to conform to the physical characteristics of an individual shooter.

Abstract: A shoulder firearm, such as a sport rifle and the like, has a cheek-piece which is adjustable vertically and laterally with respect to the gunstock. Two spacer members are loosely positioned in correspondingly aligned bores or recesses in the cheek-piece and gunstock. Each spacer member has a plurality of pairs of opposed parallel surfaces and the distances between each pair of parallel surfaces are different. The spacer members may be in the form of blocks or cylindrical elements. By varying the placing of the spacer members in the recesses or bores of the cheek-piece and gunstock, the cheek-piece can be set at different heights.

Abstract: The pistol is provided with two supports that carry the front sight and the rear sight notch, respectively, which can be rotated around the barrel of the pistol in such a way as to carry the line of aim into various positions. Furthermore, the invention pistol is provided with a frame that connects the barrel of the pistol to the grip thereof so as to allow vertical and horizontal movements of the barrel and the grip to be made, one with respect to the other. The firing mechanism of the pistol is connected to the grip thereof but is detached from the remaining elements of the said pistol.

The forward housing is installed over the forward bolt and barrel, and rotatably secured to the assembly collar, and to the barrel by a sling swivel and a muzzle nut. The forward housing has integrally made there with a pistol grip and trigger housing. The trigger housing contains the trigger mechanism and sear, said sear when the submachine gun is assembled engages selectively the plurality of ring grooves around the forward bolt. Externally attached and mounted to the front housing is a sight bridge. Thus assembled, the front housing with pistol grip and sight bridge may be fully rotated 360.degree. with respect to the stock, magazine, and ejector port while the sear continously engages the ring grooves of the front bolt, and the weapon is ready to fire and fully operable at any point of the 360.degree. rotation.

Abstract: An adjustable pistol grip for a competition rifle or the like having three basic embodiments. In one embodiment, balls and sockets are located in the pistol grip and stock or body of the rifle. The balls and sockets are connected by a rod which is adjustably clamped either by a hydraulic piston, screw ring or expanding ball, in the socket. The connecting rod may be two part, each displaceably clampable relative to the other. Another embodiment employs a flexible wire fixed to the stock and pistol grip. On the wire are perforated balls alternating with short cylinders and a screw or lever which can apply tension to the array to hold the pistol grip required in any position in relation to the stock. Another embodiment employs a universal joint, one member of which is rigidly fixed to the pistol grip or stock, and the other member of which is rigidly fixed to a rod which is adjustably held in a mount supplied with a clamp.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a crown for enclosing therein the firing mechanism of a pistol having a stock and a hand guard for protecting the trigger. The pistol is characterized by the fact that to the stock there is removably attached an extension rod which extends in two sections in a direction opposed to that of the barrel. The extension rod has a T-shaped extremity. The hand guard for the trigger has pivoted thereon a lever urged by a small spring-loaded piston to become blocked either in a first active position that is downwardly inclined with respect to the crown of the pistol, or in a second inactive or rest position through the displacement of the lever toward and near the crown itself.

Abstract: An attachment is disclosed that functions to elevate a shooter's line of sight above the barrel of a trap gun or other shotgun to both increase his overall field of vision and to reduce the effects of recoil. The attachment includes a raised rib arrangement mountable to the barrel of the shotgun and a stock elevating attachment that is adjustably mounted to the shotgun stock. The rib arrangement is mounted by a number of longitudinally spaced bracket members. The members have provisions for releasably receiving both the shotgun barrel and the rib. This facilitates elevational adjustment of the rib member for proper parallax. The stock elevator assembly is adjustably mounted to the butt of the shotgun stock. It includes a recoil absorbing pad and forwardly extending stock elevator that is smoothly rounded to fit the shooter's cheek.

Abstract: An attachment is disclosed that functions to elevate a shooter's line of sight above the barrel of a rifle or shotgun to both improve the position of the shooter's head and to reduce the effects of recoil. The attachment is mountable to a variety of different firearms and can be mounted to and removed from such gunstocks without requiring permanent stock modifications.

Abstract: The invention is an adjustable cheek rest for a hand-held weapon, mounted a stock support tube. Specifically, the invention comprises two adjustable tubes with eccentric bores, mounted about the stock support tube so that the stock support tube fits the bore of the inner adjustable tube and the inner adjustable tube fits the bore of the outer adjustable tube. The outer tube functions as the cheek rest. Each adjustable tube may be rotated about its eccentric bore and reversibly locked so as to vary the position of the cheek rest relative to the line of sight.
