Abstract: Crude drug extracts containing soluble silicon compounds as an effective component are obtained by subjecting a crude drug to extraction with water or an aqueous solvent, preferably at an alkaline pH. The crude drugs subjected to extraction to obtain the extracts may be derived from animals, plants, etc. The quality of the crude drug extract can be standardized using the soluble silicon compounds as an index. The soluble silicon compounds exhibit inhibitory action towards the production of plasma kallikrein. The amount of soluble silicon compounds in the dry extract may be used as an index whereby the quality of various crude drugs can be standardized which contributes to providing crude drug extracts having a stable or consistent quality. Abstract: In view of an acknowledgement that keeping a healthy body is a fundamental matter for overcoming cancer, it is an object of the present invention to provide composition containing well-balanced nutrition, having an effect to suppress the mutagenesis substances, having no sub-action even if the composition is continued to be taken as nutritious supplemental substance and capable of promoting healthy state. There are provided a nutritious supplemental composition for suppression against large intestinal cancer and its manufacturing method in which dietary fiber in a range of 15 wt % to 30 wt % in respect to a total amount of composition is contained in the dried koji fine powder including dead fungi of Aspergillus while keeping a capability of catalysis of groups of enzyme produced by Aspergillus.

  • Patent number: 6468542
Abstract: The present invention describes a method for germination activating spores of Ganoderma lucidum to produce bioactive substances which has medicinal effects on patients with immunological disorders, cancer, AIDS, hepatitis, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, and can prevent or inhibit free radical oxidation and hepatotoxic effects. The method can be subdivided into three stages. At the first stage, a germination activation method is introduced which includes soaking the spores in a solution to induce germination, and placing the germination treated spores in a culture box to induce the synthesis of bioactive substances and softening of the cell walls of the spores. At the second stage, sporoderm-broken ganoderma spores are collected by treating the epispores with cell wall breaking enzymes and/or mechanical force. At the last stage, the bioactive substances are extracted from the sporoderm-broken spores by drying at low temperature followed by extraction.
