Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a novel conveying device with which it is possible to easily adjust a conveying amount of articles in a trough using a restricting plate, and a combination weighing apparatus having the conveying device. A conveying device to convey articles in a trough has a restricting plate to restrict a flow of the articles in the trough and the angle at which the restricting plate faces the articles is variable. With this configuration, there is no need to prepare a plurality of restricting plates that have different shapes and materials or to exchange such a plurality of restricting plates in the same manner as in a conventional device because the conveying amount in the trough can be adjusted merely by varying the angle at which the restricting plate faces the articles.

Abstract: An apparatus for prestressing a concrete floor of an inclined shaft wall includes two end bearing components, a corrugated pipe, a tension bearing rod piece and two anchor heads. The tension bearing rod piece is composed of a left tension bearing rod, a right tension bearing rod, and a loading mechanism. The left tension bearing rod and the right tension bearing rod, are connected integratedly by the loading mechanism, and the tension bearing rod piece passes through the corrugated pipe. The two end bearing components are respectively arranged at the left and right ends of the tension bearing rod piece in a sleeving manner. The two anchor heads respectively lock the left and right end bearing components. Before pouring of the floor of the shaft wall, the loading apparatus is pre-buried. After the strength of floor concrete increases to certain extent, a transverse prepressing stress is applied to the floor concrete through the loading mechanism.

Abstract: The high straightness arrow in the present invention is designed to improve the straightness of the archery arrow by adopting new manufacturing technique and method. Chamber and post are made of dissimilar metals and the chamber includes a wall that creates an external housing and defines an internal airspace. Once the post with shaft is positioned through chamber, nuts are tightened securely, forming an assembly, to straighten post. Due to the different coefficients of thermal expansion of chamber and post, when they are heated simultaneously, the chamber expands more than the post, creating a natural tension along post which results in a near perfectly straight shaft. As the assembly cools, the post and chamber return to their original length, yet the shaft retains its straightened form and thus this manufacturing process yields an arrow shaft that is straighter than shafts made of the same materials but with a traditional manufacturing technique.

Abstract: A method of forming a composite article from a work piece at elevated temperatures and pressures. The method steps include disposing within a pressure chamber the work piece in contact with a mold, disposing a substantially incompressible medium in the chamber so that the medium is capable of transferring a substantially uniform predetermined pressure to the surface of the work piece, disposing within the substantially incompressible medium a fluid filled elastomeric vessel in fluid communication with a source of high pressure fluid so that the vessel is capable of causing a substantially uniform predetermined fluid pressure to the substantially incompressible medium, and causing the vessel to produce a pressure in the range of 400 to 20000 psi (2.8 to 138 MPa) to be applied to the substantially incompressible medium.

Abstract: Disclosed is a resin molding apparatus capable of enhancing transfer accuracy, reducing the cost of a molding apparatus, and shortening a molding cycle. The resin molding apparatus includes a first mold; a second mold disposed in opposition to the first mold; a transfer plate (34) attached to one of the first and second molds and comprising a transfer surface bearing a pattern of pits and projections and oriented toward a cavity (C1, C2); and a thermal insulation layer (40) disposed between the transfer plate (34) and the one of the first and second molds and formed through growth from the transfer plate (34) side or from the one of the first and second mold sides. Being disposed between the transfer plate (34) and the one of the first and second molds, the thermal insulation layer (40) can restrain dissipation of thermal energy of a molding material toward the mold.

Abstract: A method and a device for directly molding a glazing gasket by extruding a molding material from a molding die to a peripheral edge part of a double-glazing panel in which a space layer is formed between two adjacent glass sheets with a spacer interposed in between. The molding die is configured of a front die and a rear die, which are independent of each other. The front die is allowed to adhere closely to at least the front surface of the double-glazing panel, and the rear die is allowed to adhere closely to at least the rear surface of the double-glazing panel, thereby molding the glazing gasket.

Abstract: A method of forming a hollow composite construction member of the type suitable for use as building material includes providing an elongated inflatable mold assembly having a longitudinal axis, a flexible tubular bladder wall defining an elongated inflatable cavity, a reinforcing fabric positioned concentrically around the flexible bladder wall, and a flexible air-impervious outer layer positioned concentrically around the fabric. The bladder wall and the outer layer define an elongated annular space with the fabric positioned therein. Tension is applied longitudinally to the fabric and fluid is introduced into the cavity to at least partially inflate the mold and shape the fabric. The mold is shaped to a desired shape while maintaining the fabric under tension. The elongated annular space and the fabric are infused with a rigidification material. The rigidification material is hardened while maintaining the fabric in tension to form a rigid hollow composite construction member.

Abstract: Shingle material, preferably comprising a core with a capstock applied thereto is extruded preferably by means of a co-extrusion process onto a series of Individual carrier plates, with the shingle material then being severed such that each carrier plate carries its own layer of shingle material thereon and the carrier plates are then delivered to a compression mold in which the shingle is molded. The carrier plate and shingle Is then removed from the mold and carried through a series of hold-down stations, after which the shingle is delivered to a trimmer, where flashing is simultaneously trimmed from its edges. The shingle Is then cooled, preferably by sandwiching it between upper and lower retention members which are cooled via a cooling tower. The retention members impart a curvature to the shingle.
