    Abstract: A coated string for a stringed device which includes a coating applied to the surface of the string. The coating includes a base layer bonded to the surface of the string and an at least partially transparent low-friction top coat applied to the base layer. The base layer includes heat activated pigments that change color when heated above a color shifting temperature. In one embodiment, the color of the pigment in one area contrasts with the color of the pigment in an adjacent area without otherwise affecting the low-friction surface of the coating. The areas of different color created in locations along the length of the low-friction coated string.

    Abstract: A method for producing a magnetic resonant frequency (MRF) absorber and apparatus for an MRF absorber are described herein. The method comprises processing a high permeability material such as permalloy comprising 80% nickel, 18% iron, 2% molybdenum to create a specific geometric form factor such as a flake, sphere, or rod. The geometric form factor may then be encapsulated in an insulating matrix. The insulating matrix may be a Potassium Silicate (SiO3K2). The insulated flake, sphere, or rod form factor may be introduced to a powder coating process. The insulated flake, sphere, or rod form factor may then be mixed with a polymetric coating powder at a weight ratio based on a desired performance for absorbing electromagnetic interference (EMI).

    Abstract: Laminate concrete countertops and methods for fabricating same employ a plywood core or substrate onto which concrete layers are applied using spray techniques. In one embodiment, a countertop template is created at the installation site, and subsequently used at a remote fabrication site to cut the core to the customized size and shape before application the sprayed concrete layers. In some embodiments, the core or substrate and overlying concrete layers are left exposed at one or more edges to provide visually contrasting layers creating a unique appearance over conventional countertops. Edge covering pieces visually contrasting the concrete itself can also be installed to further characterize the appearance of the countertop, and may be removably installed to allow swapping out of different edge pieces to reconfigure the countertop appearance over time.

    Abstract: Manufacturing method of grinding surface on glass cosmetics, in particular the nail and skin file, from flat glass of FLOAT type, is carried out by marking at least one abrasive surface on one or two sides of a glass pane or intermediate product. This surface is then coated with fusing glue, powdered with clean quartz sand with grain size between 1 and 500 ?m using a sieve, and the surplus sand is knocked-down. The intermediate product with fixed sand is inserted into the fusing furnace where it is baked at the temperature of up to 900° C. The abrasive surface may be roughened by sand blasting before the fusing glue application; the intermediate product coated with fusing glue can be decorated with glass fritte.
