Abstract: A laminated sheet which contains a cross-linking foam material, and radiates far infrared so that it has heat-insulating and heat-retentive properties. The laminated sheet (1) has a three-layered structure including polyethylene foam (2) having a sheet shape that is one example of a cross-linking foam material in which a substance that radiates far infrared rays is mixed, non-woven fabric (3) having a sheet shape formed on a lower face thereof and a polyester film (4) formed on an upper face thereof. Since the laminated sheet of the present invention is allowed to radiate far infrared rays, it can greatly shorten the snow-melting time, etc., because of its heat reflection effects in comparison with a sheet made of a single material of non-woven fabric, and it also makes it possible to greatly improve heat-insulating and heat-retentive effects, and also to provide medical effects.

  • Patent number: 6599621
Abstract: Generally flat structural panel for building construction includes an inner insulating core such as of plastic foam and a pair of opposed outer facings, or sheets, bonded to the panel's insulating core. One of the outer facings is of gypsum composite, or gypsum fiberboard, while the other outer facing is of oriented strand board (OSB) impregnated with plastic, such as a polyisocyanurate or urethane resin. The gypsum fiberboard forms the panel's inner surface, while the plastic impregnated OSB forms the panel's outer surface. The panel's outer facings provide high tensile strength, with the gypsum fiberboard facing also affording high load bearing capacity as well as resistant to fire, the environment, and insects. The plastic impregnated OSB does not expand or contract with changes in humidity to maintain a planar configuration for the panel with a smooth, uniform surface for exterior finishing.

Abstract: The present invention is directed, in general, to a polymer with altered properties to make the pad more suitable for use in customized semiconductor, in particular, shallow trench isolation chemical mechanical polishing applications. A method of preparing such polymers comprises exposing a plastic substrate to a supercritical fluid containing a precursor. By virtue of the reactive environment provided by the supercritical fluid, the precursor is grafted throughout the plastic, thereby changing its bulk properties. A wide variety of grafted compounds, including inorganic, wetability and inorganic-organic compounds, may thus be incorporated into the plastic to form a new polymer endowed with new set of favorable polishing properties.

Abstract: This invention provides a composite device whereby surface reflection and interference colors can be inhibited, photocatalytic decomposition performance may be improved and hydrophilicity-acquiring rate may be improved. A mixture film (14) is deposited on the surface of a base (12). The mixture film (14) is a colorless and transparent mixture film with a high light transmittance made of a mixture of boron oxide and photocatlytic titanium oxide.

Abstract: Expanded porous polytetrafluoroethylene film laminated into a laminate in the form of a strip, wherein the laminated height of the laminated strip is greater than the width, preferably with a layer for preventing fluid penetration interposed between the layers of the laminate. The sealing material in the form of tape is used in the form of a closed ring, the longitudinal beginning and end being joined, and the laminated end faces on the long side are in contact with the tightened surfaces, in such a way that the direction in which the laminated strip has been laminated is the radial direction.

Abstract: An insulating beverage cup or sleeve is produced with a foam layer disposed on an inner surface of a food or beverage paper stock. A polyethylene film layer is arranged in a position between a paper stock layer and an inside surface of the beverage container. The foam layer decreases the energy transfer between the beverage and the user's hands allowing the user to hold onto the cup for an extended period of time without causing user discomfort or pain, e.g. greatly extends the hold time of the paper cup. The exterior surface of the beverage cup remains highly printable and predisposed to high quality graphics both before and after cup manufacture.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an aluminum material to which a surface treatment is performed, and has as its objective the provision of a surface-treated aluminum material that has excellent adhesive properties with organic resin film. The present invention further aims to provide a method for producing the aforementioned. In the present invention's surface-treated aluminum material, a non-porous anodic oxide film is formed to the surface of the aluminum or aluminum alloy. This non-porous anodic oxide film has a thickness in the range of 5˜800 nm, a porosity of 20% or less, and contains in an amount of 50 ppm or more at least one of silicon, phosphorous, boron or carbon as a component. As a result of this structure, the adhesive properties between organic resin film and non-porous anodic oxide film can be increased.

Abstract: A foamed polyethylene product has an outer sheath of non-foamed polyethylene fused to an underlying foamed body portion. Preferably, the product is produced in an in-line method when the foam body is extruded and subsequently the skin is extruded directly on the body portion. This process only causes limited thermal degradation of an outer layer of the body portion which improves adhesion of the skin to the body portion.
