  • Patent number: 10551572
Abstract: A protective assembly method using a transparent layer within the fiber interconnect system aids in optical coupling by preventing an air gap from forming between the fiber cores within a connector. A fiber protection device made of a thin transparent film, which includes an adhesive layer, is applied over the fiber end-faces at the connector interface, the film having characteristics which allows it to conform to the fiber end and minimize coupling loss between fibers. According to one aspect, the film is part of a cartridge that provides structural support for the film to facilitate application of the fiber protection device. The film may be divided by perforate patterns that define one or more fiber protection devices formed by the film. The assembly method can include usage of an applicator base plate upon which the cartridge is mounted. According to another aspect, the film may be part of a single-use disposable pod for application of a single fiber protection device.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a stretchable conductor that can be used to form a film having good repeated stretching durability, a garment-type election device that has a wire using the stretchable conductor, and a method for producing the same. Conductive particles, preferably silver particles, a predetermined quantity of a specific barium sulfate, and a flexible resin component are mixed together to obtain a stretchable conductor composition. A sheet made from the stretchable conductor composition thus obtained has a low initial conductivity, and a high conductivity retention rate when repeatedly stretched. By cutting the stretchable conductor composition into a predetermined shape and affixing the composition to fabric or the like that constitutes a garment, it is possible to achieve a garment-type device having electrical wiring with high stretchability.

  • Patent number: 10058161
Abstract: A double eyelid formation tape is formed by applying an adhesive, which is used for attaching a tape-shaped member to an eyelid, to the tape-shaped member, which has a long length and which has elastic contractility when the tape-shaped member is stretched to a predetermined length in a longitudinal direction, and that is used for forming a double eyelid by utilizing the elastic contractility of the tape-shaped member. The tape-shaped member is formed of a multilayer body that includes a first base material layer made of a polyethylene and a second base material layer made of polyurethane. When the tape-shaped member is stretched to the predetermined length, the first base material layer is caused to transition to the plastic zone and is configured to have elastic contractility even in the plastic zone.
