Abstract: An improved cornerboard that is usable to protect a corner of a shipping container is provided. The cornerboard reduces workforce required to secure the cornerboard to a plurality of shipping containers, such as a pallet of shipping containers. For example, the cornerboard permits a single individual to position cornerboards about the pallet of shipping containers and shrink wrap or otherwise secure the shipping containers with the cornerboards. In an embodiment, the cornerboard has a tab portion that is partially separable form the cornerboard and positionable between two shipping containers to prevent movement of the cornerboard and eliminate the need for an individual to hold the cornerboard.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a linear series of connected unitary sheet-like merchandise labeling articles, each of which comprises a labeling tag flatly cojoined along a unifying flat bond zone with a flexible elastic layer that extends away from the tag and includes an elastic fastening loop. Adjacent labeling articles of the series are ruptureably connected in a manner permitting the series to be handled as a unit while at the same time permitting ruptureable separation of individual merchandise labeling articles from the series. In one embodiment, the linear series is wound into roll form.

Abstract: An exemplary inner substrate for manufacturing multilayer printed circuit boards is provided. The inner substrate has a number of substrate units and a number of transverse folding portions alternately arranged along a longitudinal direction of the inner substrate. Each of the substrate units is configured for forming a unitary printed circuit board. Each of the folding portions is interconnected between neighboring substrate units. Each of the folding portions defines at least one line of weakness perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the inner substrate for facilitating folding and unfolding the neighboring substrate units to each other. Each of the folding portions defines at least one groove in at least one side thereof along the at least one line of weakness.

Abstract: A container having a first compartment configured to hold a first substance, a second compartment configured to hold a second substance, a frangible separator coupled to both the first and second compartments, and an actuator operably attached to the frangible separator. The second compartment is removably attached to the first compartment. The frangible separator forms a seal between the first compartment and the second compartment such that the first substance and the second substance do not mix. Actuating the actuator causes at least a portion of the frangible separator to rupture, which creates an opening in the frangible separator and allows the first substance and the second substance to mix. The actuator may be a string. The invention is particularly well-suited for mixing formula and water in baby bottles, but has many other uses.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to vacuum skin packaging laminates. The laminates include a first film, a second film, an adhesive bonding the first film to the second film, and an adhesive-free interfacial section between the first and second films. The laminate is adapted to provide substantially horizontal first film-surface above the product for displaying product markings and a thermoformable second film-surface for conforming to the shape of the product. The present invention also is directed to vacuum skin packages formed from such laminates, and methods of packaging a product.

Abstract: A label is provided that includes a body portion having an area, a front surface, and a back surface. The label also includes a tab portion having an area and a back surface, and the tab portion is integrally coupled to the body portion and extending from an end of the body portion. A line of weakness divides the tab portion and the body portion, and the line of weakness is formed such that the tab portion is selectively separable form the body portion along the line of weakness. A layer of adhesive is provided on the back surface of the body portion of the label, and a majority of the back surface of the tab portion is free of adhesive. The area of the tab portion is less than the area of the body portion.

Abstract: A patch covers a hole created on a fabric when a wire of an underwire bra breaks through, poking the delicate skin around the breast of a woman. The patch includes an outer layer made of a laminate material, an inner layer made of a high strength material.. The outer layer may completely encase the inner layer.

Abstract: A thermoplastic film for the interior paneling of motor vehicles has a top layer with a structured surface layer and a foamed layer on the underside and with indentations or material weak points introduced on the reverse side. The top layer has a residual thickness of at least 35% in the region of the indentations and the foamed layer has a thickness between 15 and 50% of the density of the compact top layer.

Abstract: A combination article encircling band and coupon or ticket wherein the band is formed by overlapping and contacting spaced adhesive areas formed on opposite surfaces of a strip of material and the coupon or ticket is severable along a line of weakness in the strip material from the band. The combination may be use for advertising and promoting purposes such that information indicia on the band may be related to information indicia on the coupon or ticket.

Abstract: Shipment labels and related methods are described. An example method includes printing a return address on a first label layer of the label and printing a delivery address on a second label layer of the label adjacent the first label layer. The example method also includes coupling the first label layer and the second label layer on at least a portion of a container. The second label layer releasably covers at least a portion of the first label layer so that the return address is not fully visible when the second label layer is releasably coupled to the container.

Abstract: A form or printing product and method for fabricating same on label formation equipment. The form includes first and second layers of material adhesively secured together. The first layer includes a card or label and a surrounding region, wherein the top and bottom surfaces of the card or label are substantially co-planar with the top and bottom surfaces, respectively, of the surrounding region. The second layer is adhered over the card or label and the surrounding region. By compressing the leading edge or trailing edge of the elevated second layer in tandem with the first layer, and thereby creating a small indentation, allows a sheet exiting a printer to bypass, travel over, or not come into contact with the second layer of the previously printed form resting in an output tray.

Abstract: A print medium and methods are provided for producing a die-cut portion easily separable from the print medium, thereby shortening the required time to separate the die-cut portion and reducing wasted consumption of print media. The print medium may include die-cut portions having a contour of a wristband, such as those used in a hospital on the wrist of a patient. The die-cut portions are formed sequentially at a constant interval on the print medium, and die-cut lines are formed between each die-cut portion as lines connecting adjacent die-cut portions. The print medium may be automatically cut at the position of a severance line perpendicular to the die-cut line referenced by a cut mark on the print medium. Because the edges of the severed print medium piece are perpendicular to the die-cut lines, separating the die-cut portion from the print medium can be easily started along the die-cut line.

The base layer having a first surface and a second surface. The note sheet includes a first layer of adhesive on the second surface of the base layer that is located on the body portion of the note sheet, but not the tab portion.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an airbag cover, in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising a decor layer (1) having a decor side (2) forming an observation area, which borders the space in which the airbag deploys if the need arises, and an airbag side (3) opposite to the decor side. The decor layer further has a weakening (4) in the region of a tear line for deploying the airbag, which extends from the airbag side of the decor layer such that the decor layer is substantially intact on the decor side. The air bag cover of the present invention further has at least one second layer (2) which may be designed as spacer mesh, the second layer being attached to the airbag side of the decor layer (1) and which also has a weakening region (7) along the tear line. In order that the weakening in the decor layer (1) remains permanently invisible from the decor side (2), an intermediate layer (5) is further provided in the airbag cover of the invention which is arranged between the decor layer and the second layer.

A heat ray may be used in combination with a blown gas to form grooves in the surface of the ceramic member while eliminating or minimizing depletion of a sintering aid. Abstract: The invention relates to a film of plastics material stretched to present a privileged shrinkage orientation and used in particular for fabricating heat-shrink sleeves, the film including at least one line of mechanical weakness and at least one local region of extra thickness extending along the line of weakness so as to border it, the line of weakness and the adjacent local region of extra thickness together defining a tear line. According to the invention, the local region of extra thickness is constituted by applying liquid or semi-liquid material to the film, the applied material being applied to the film in a quantity that depends on the expected shrinkage ratio in the portion of the film that includes the tear line while a sleeve made using such a film is being heat-shrunk onto an article.

In another embodiment, a tamper evident stretch wrap includes a first layer of film having a first pattern and a second layer of film having a second pattern that overlap to form a predetermined third pattern. In yet another embodiment, a stretch wrap is exposed to ultraviolet light and checked for a change in a fluorescent signature to determine whether the stretch wrap has been breached.

An attachment pattern or feature is provided on one or both of the facestock or shelf area to facilitate attachment of the shelf taker. Combining the microperforations along the perimeter with a connecting smooth full cut portion provides a smooth full cut for ease of removal of the label from the sheet and removal of the facestock from the liner.

Abstract: A plastic trim strip useful for trimming the installation of doors, windows, and the like. The trim strip has a first side suitable for viewing in a finished installation, and a second side with at least one band of contact adhesive. In storage, the contact adhesive is covered by a peelable backing. The trim strip is formed of material which is capable of some deformation while retaining the elastic memory to retain its original flat shape. The trim strip can be cut, bent, roll formed, etc. to produce the shape desired for the installation. The user then removes the peelable backing and uses the contact adhesive to affix the strip in the desired location. The trim strip is preferably stored in a roll within a dispenser box. The dispenser box allows the compact storage and transportation of many feet of the material.

Abstract: Disclosed are a label and a method of manufacturing the same, the label comprising: a first base film; a first ink layer formed on the exterior top part of the first base film, and comprising a metal or metal oxide that changes from its original color to another color by being oxidized by a laser; and a resin coating layer coated on the first ink layer to protect the first ink layer, wherein the laser passing through a part or the whole of the resin coating layer is transmitted to the first ink layer. According to the present invention, there is no oxidation residue; thus, the efficiency of marking is excellent and any possibility of change in quality due to aging can be eliminated. In addition, the color rendering is excellent, and the scratch resistance, chemical resistance and heat resistance are superior.

Abstract: A product, such as a roll of paper toweling, is wrapped in a polymeric film wrapper having a high degree of molecular orientation. The wrapper is provided with a small perforated starter tab, which a user can depress with their fingers or thumb to break the perforations. Upon breaking the perforations, the user can grasp the tab of the wrapper and thereafter open the package by pulling on the wrapper in the same direction as the molecular orientation direction of the wrapper. The high degree of molecular orientation allows the package to be cleanly torn open with very little effort.

Abstract: An adhesive strip can adhere to objects and to a surface such as a surface in a vehicle passenger compartment to support the object within reach of the passengers. The adhesive strip is removable from the surface and provides a mechanism for folding the adhesive back so that the adhesive is covered and not free to attach unintentionally to objects or surfaces after removal from the initial surface. A method for using the strip allows the strip to be used to adhere objects to surfaces and then avoid adhering unintentionally after removal to other objects and surfaces. A method for making the adhesive strips is provided. A device for making the adhesive strips is provided.

Abstract: A patterned adhesive tag applied to separable-lid containers, hinged-lid containers, film-lid containers, and other packaged products. The patterned tag adhesive is designed to add security to the packaging of the goods, such that when an unauthorized person tries to remove the tag, it will tear, indicating an unauthorized entry, and caution against purchase or usage of the product. The tag is designed to wrap around a plurality of sides of the packaged product. The tag may be multi-layered through the usage of additional adhesives and substrates to facilitate couponing and booklet applications for the marketed product.

The roofing nail seal includes a body portion with an upper surface and a lower surface. In at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, such a form comprises a first sheet material, a second sheet material, and a third sheet material.
