  • Patent number: 10626623
Abstract: Separating membrane (10) of plastic material, made up of a bossed and waterproof sheet (100) which is coupled with a permeable base layer (101); the bosses (102) are of the cylindrical type with a double diameter (D1, D2) and have such a shape and arrangement as to feature improved adhesion on both faces (110-111). The invention increases the gripping of the adhesive in order to obtain greater tear strength, on the upper face, and at the same time increases the area of contact with the base layer for a greater resistance to delamination on the lower face. In particular, inside each chamber (103) there is an internal crown (104), which divides it like a necking (D2) into two superimposed compartments (105-6) having the same diameter (D1), wherein the first compartment has a depth (H1) amounting to at least ? of the total (H). The invention also relates to the production process for obtaining said membrane (10).

Abstract: A weighted tarp for providing a waterproof covering that can remain in position without the need for cables, bungee cords, external weights, or other fasteners. The tarp includes a multi-layer sheet having a first and second layer of waterproof or water-resistant material. The first and second layers are coextensive and are preferably secured to one another via an adhesive. A plurality of weights is disposed between the first and second sheets. The weights are preferably flat disks and are arranged in a grid, such that the weights are spaced at fixed intervals. The weights help to maintain the tarp in a desired position without the need for additional fasteners, and the weights serve to evenly distribute the weight of the tarp. The tarp includes grommets on the perimeter or corners thereof, allowing the user to further secure the tarp using cables, if so desired.

Abstract: A composite part including a resin matrix and fibers reinforcing the resin matrix in a first portion of the matrix. A second portion of the resin matrix is substantially devoid of fibers. The fibers may be in the form of a woven mat that defines an opening. Alternatively, the fibers may be loose fibers that are deposited in a mold that includes predetermined areas that are shielded from the deposit of the loose fibers. A method of making the composite part is disclosed in which a woven mat having an opening is filled with resin. Another method is also disclosed in which loose fibers are shielded from being deposited in a portion of the mold that is subsequently filled with resin.
