Abstract: A portable fishing bait case is disclosed herein. The portable fishing bait case includes a housing, a bait screen and a bait dispenser. The bait screen is located within an interior of the housing between a top section and a bottom section of the interior. Once bait is poured into the top section of the interior, the bait is filtered through the bait screen, being separated from bedding material and filtering into the bottom section of the interior. The ‘filtered bait’ is then selectively dispensed by a user via the bait dispenser.

Abstract: A tool arrangement includes a tool management device with a body and a lid, wherein the lid, by a hinge connection, is configured pivotably for selectively covering or releasing a receiving space of the body relatively to the body, and a receiving device for receiving tool elements which is mounted or mountable in the receiving space of the body. By the hinge connection, the receiving device is co-pivoted when the lid is pivoted. The hinge connection includes at least one pin and the lid has at least one slide guide for guiding the at least one pin along a pregiven trajectory.

Abstract: A modular fishing lure holder includes a generally cylindrical lure housing having an outer housing clip that serves to attach the holder to a user's person. The housing clip may be integral with the lure holder body or it may be incorporated in a frictionally fitted collar. Exterior clamps or hinge accessories may be provided to allow for a plurality of the lure holders to be linked together. The outer housing clip also includes a cylindrical clip attachment with a hook shaft clamp near one of the lure housing ends to frictionally hold the lure in place by sliding the hook therein.

Abstract: The invention provides a unique system for providing partition dividers in stowing units (e.g. shelving, trays, and containers). This is accomplished by providing a stowing unit with an adhesive viscoelastomeric thermoset polymer which adhesively restrains a free-standing divider adapted to be removed and repositioned at any desired positon to fit a user's stowing needs. The adhesive polymer is also cohesive and releases both the divider and any stowed items in contact with the polymer via the application of a counteracting removal force sufficient to overcome the adhesive attraction of the polymer. Accordingly, dividers fixedly attached to conventional sectionalized containers are suitably replaced herein by the repositionable divider combination.

Abstract: The invention provides a unique thermoset viscoelastomeric reaction product and a container combination comprised of the supportive base equipped with a thermoset viscoelastomer reaction product possessing unexpectedly superior adhesive and cohesive efficacy rendering it especially useful as an adhesive insert in a container combination. The thermoset insert bonds to any suitable supportive structure. The unique viscoelastomeric reaction product inserts adhesively immobilize items placed thereupon and adhesively or permanently bonds to most conventional containers. The tenacious cohesive and adhesive features of the insert allows for inverted stowage of stowed items. Due to the confining adhesive and cohesive attributes of the insert, structural supports of a flexible or solid base without a conventional confining structure provide a unique container combination for the stowed items.

The racks can be arrayed in parallel tracks formed in the interior side walls of the container. Each rack is preferably formed with a scallop pattern of recesses on its upper end to hold lures for charging.

Abstract: A storage container commonly referred to a “tackle box,” that detachably secures an elongate fishing lure, such as a tube fly or the like, within a chamber of a case using a mandrel for detachably engaging the lure and a mandrel anchor for detachably engaging the mandrel. In a disclosed embodiment, the mandrel anchor is formed of foam with slits received therein for receiving one or more mandrels. A distal end of each mandrel may include a clip for snugly engaging the lure to further hold the lure in place in the container.

A composite sheet assembly may be attachable to the multi-piece enclosure and may be sized to fit within the multi-piece enclosure when attached to the multi-piece enclosure and when a first edge portion of the first storage compartment and a second edge portion of the second storage compartment are positioned against one another. The composite sheet assembly may include a first sheet, with a slit system including a plurality of slits in the first sheet, that is configured to retain fishing hooks. The composite sheet assembly may further include a notched edge including a first set of one or more notches to receive portions of rig lines when the rig lines are wrapped around the composite sheet assembly.

The holder includes a generally flat rectangular base made of resilient materials where artificial flies and rigs are held by being slotted into or embedded into the base. The base has two exposed elongated ribs protruding outwards from both sides of the base, located towards both outer ends of the base. The ribs protect the tackle from being damaged or accidently dislodged from the device.

Abstract: A fishing lure holder includes an L-shaped frame carrying magnets spaced-apart for releasably magnetically retaining the hooks of the lures. The magnetic field of the magnets extends through the frame, such that the apparatus self-attaches to any magnetically-responsive material, such as the side wall of a boat, a floor or a compartment lid's underside. Advantageously, the holders can be removed, adjusted, and repositioned repeatedly to virtually any orientation or spacing. This allows placement to provide a correct spacing that will allow multiple treble hooks on a lure to be secured by the exposed magnets. A post prevents lateral slip-off of a single hook from individual magnets, thus adding additional safety and security to the system. Each separate weight provides a constant downward straightening force on the line to which it is attached when the carrying device is flexed by a fisherman. The system may further include pairs of indicia, one on the hook retainer and one on a corresponding sleeve, to aid a visually impaired fisherman to keep the line of each pre-rigged fish hook untangled along the support structure.

In operation, a user opens the cap of the device and slides an extension along the guide outward from the center of the outer case. With the extension fully exposed, a user attaches previously created dropper-rig assemblies. To attach an assembly, a user takes one of the two flies comprising a dropper-rig assembly and hooks it anywhere on a flexible sleeve that surrounds the extension. He then wraps the leader line, (the line that connects the two flies) around the sleeve until the second fly is in a position to be hooked to the sleeve. A user then returns the extension to within the outer case and seals the device by locking down the cap.

Abstract: A fishing tackle and lure holder is provided wherein the holder comprises a cylindrical sleeve having upper and lower open ends. A base is detachably secured to the lower end of the sleeve. The diameter of the base is greater than the diameter of the sleeve such that the base extends outwardly from the sleeve to provide a stable support for the sleeve. An array of hook apertures are formed into the upper portion of the sleeve. Specifically, at least two sets of hook apertures are formed or cut into the upper portion of the sleeve. Each hook aperture is designed to receive and hold a hook associated with a fishing tackle or a lure. This will permit a series of fishing tackle and lures to be suspended in an organized fashion around the sleeve of the holder.

Abstract: A fishing lure neodymium magnetized holder is disclosed including an array of neodymium magnets attached to a flat sheet of iron or steel, preferably iron. The flat sheet of iron and neodymium magnets are housed in a moisture impervious enclosure preferably comprised of a combination of plastic box and a sealed cover of polyurethane or similar durable moisture impervious material attached to the top surface of the flat sheet of iron to completely isolate and protect the flat sheet of iron and neodymium magnets from moisture and resulting corrosion. Preferably, four suction cups are attached to four threaded studs. The threaded studs are then threaded into four receptacle members fixedly attached near the four rear corners of the flat plastic box. The four suction cups allow the holder to be placed and held in any convenient location on smooth surfaces that abound in molded fishing boats.

The entrance opening has a greater perimeter than the exit opening. A line bore is formed through the exit opening and is substantially concentric therewith. A line removal slit is formed through a wall of the line bore. A jig clearance notch is formed adjacent the line bore. In use, a line loop of the fishing hook, a jig hook or fly hook is inserted into the line removal slit, such that the line loop is in contact with the line bore. A fishing line is inserted through the conical shaped opening and the line bore. The fishing hook and fishing line are removed from the fishing hook threader by pulling thereof out of the line removal slit.

One of the two outer layers is attached to one side of the base disc and the other one of the two outer discs is attached to the other side of the base plate. A hook opening is formed through the base plate and the two outer layers. A base slot extends from a perimeter of hook opening in the base plate to provide clearance for the fishing hook. An outer slit extends from a perimeter of hook opening in each outer layer to provide an interference fit with the fishing hook. The base plate is preferably a magnetized material, such as steel. An end of the base slot may be terminated with a neodymium magnetic. A hook holder projection includes a base plate and two resilient outer layers and is retained in a threader body.

Abstract: An enclosure for the sharp portions of a fish hook comprises an elastic wall having a slit distortable by deformation of the wall to form an aperture through which the bite of the fish hook may pass into an interior space formed by the wall. Relaxation of external pressure on the wall permits the resilient wall to return to an undeformed condition, closing the slit and enclosing the sharp portions of the fish hook.

Abstract: A box for storing fishing flies including a cover assembly having two dish-like cover portions, each having a continuous distal edge portion; and a hinge affording pivotal movement of the cover portions between an open position and a closed position with the distal edge portions of the cover portions opposed to and closely spaced from each other. A fly retaining assembly included in the box comprises a support plate that extends between the distal edge portions of the cover portions in their closed position, can be engaged by flies, can pivot relative to the hinge independent of the cover portions, and can be removed from between the cover portions when they are open. A layer of over molded sealing material provided on the support plate is in sealing engagement with the edge portions of the adjacent cover portions when they are in their closed position.

The user simply casts the fishing line into the water and drives the stake in the ground for unattended fishing.

Abstract: The invention is a storage system for fishing lures and fishing tools that can be mounted to a vehicle such as a boat, prevents the lures and tools from becoming entangled or unintentionally dislodged, and yet provides easy and immediate accessibility for the user. A key feature of the present invention is the means for securing the fishing lures. Individual lures are isolated from each other and from dislodgement during the rough motion of a fishing boat at speed. Special tortuous slots retain the tackle hooks until deliberate removal by an angler for use. Another key feature of the present invention is the means for securing commonly used fishing tools, such as pliers, wire cutters, or hook disgorgers, against dislodgement. The tools are held in place by rubber grommets. This means resists tool dislodgement during the rough motion of a fishing boat at speed, yet it also provides easy access to the angler.

Abstract: A light weight soft fly case for holding fishing flies that can be clipped on or removed via an integrated rotatable clip, to a belt, harness, suspender or pocket that makes them readily accessible with one hand to the fisherman. The light weight soft fly case would be rectangular in shape, be made from nylon and neoprene, with a one piece case construction, and with a one handed hook and loop closure. The light weight soft fly case would include a nylon gusset hinge limiting the opening to a 90 degree angle for easy fly selection. The light weight soft fly case would include an attached but removable ripple foam insert for providing a surface upon which fishing flies might be secured. The light weight soft fly case may include a transparent cover for easy fly identification.

The inner holder portion includes a snell holder that extends downwardly and into the outer holder portion when the inner portion and the outer portion are attached to one another. Preferably, the outer holder portion is comprised of a material that allows the user to visualize the contents of the device. The snell holder provides a plurality of transversely-disposed and circumferentially-cut slots for retention of a snell within such slots.

Abstract: Disclosed is a fishing equipment holder including an elongated hollow member, a covering member and a magnetic member. The elongated hollow member has a proximal end portion and a distal end portion. Further, the elongated hollow member has at least one cut-out at the distal end portion. The covering member is disposed on the proximal end portion of the elongated hollow member for covering the proximal end portion of the elongated hollow member. The covering member is adapted to be secured to an external object. The magnetic member is configured to be received in a space defined between the proximal end portion and the distal end portion of the elongated hollow member. The magnetic member is adapted to be in contact with at least one fishing equipment kept in the at least one cut-out for holding the at least one fishing equipment in the at least one cut-out.

Abstract: A novel tackle box is disclosed which employs hook attaching means comprising a vertical slot adapted to receive the hooks of artificial fishing bait. The hook attaching means are secured to the top inside of the tackle box or to one or more horizontal shelves in said box so that any bait stored is suspended during storage. Suspension allows for drying of the tackle and prevention of rust. The tackle may be easily inserted and easily removed from the slots. The box provides an effective storage means and method especially for unwieldy and cumbersome baits.

Abstract: The fishing lure case has a first half and a matching second half that form a cylindrical housing when in a closed position. A hinge is disposed on a lower edge of the case that serves to connect parallel longitudinal edges of the first half and the second half about which the case can be opened. A first arcuate flange extends from the first end of the first half and a matching second arcuate flange extends from the first end of the second half. Therefore, as the first half and the second half of the case are rotated about the hinge, the arcuate flanges encircle the fishing line so that the fishing line is secured and protected within the aperture. A plurality of ventilation apertures are disposed about the fishing lure case to allow air to circulate within the case and water to drain out.

Abstract: A tackle container with barriers extending across the bottom of the interior cavity holds fishing lures in a fixed position and allows easy retrieval of each lure. Each barrier in the container includes a curved wall that converges with the bottom of the container. The barrier thereby forms a nesting space between the backside of the curved wall and the bottom of the container. A fishing lure fits under a barrier with its hooks wedged into the nesting space to hold the lure in a desired position. The barriers may be removable inserts having rails that slide into slots along the sidewall of the container. The inserts may be positioned in a variety of configurations.
