    Abstract: The invention is directed to a process for manufacture of fine precious metal containing particles, specifically silver-based particles and silver-based contact materials via an intermediate silver(+1)-oxide species. The process comprises in a first step the formation of a thermally instable silver (+1)-oxide species by adding a base to an aqueous silver salt solution comprising an organic dispersing agent. Due to the presence of the organic dispersing agent, the resulting silver (+1)-oxide species is thermally instable, thus the species is decomposing to metallic silver at temperature lower than 100° C. The process optionally may comprise the addition of a powdered compound selected from the group of inorganic oxides, metals, and carbon-based compounds. Furthermore the process may contain additional separating and drying steps. The process is versatile, cost efficient and environmentally friendly and is used for the manufacture of silver-based particles and electrical contact materials.

In both embodiments, the second sheet is capable of being separated into two parts at the interface of the dye image receiving layer and the peeling-off layer.     Abstract: An image forming method using a heat developable light-sensitive material is disclosed. The light-sensitive material is lowered in curling caused by humidity changing at room temperature or heating at development. The method comprises the following steps ofimagewise exposing to light a heat developable light-sensitive material comprising a paper support having thereon a subbing layer comprising a hydrophobic resin and a light-sensitive layer being provided on the subbing layer, in which the light-sensitive layer comprises a hydrophilic binder, light-sensitive silver halide grains and a dye providing substance,developing the light-sensitive material be heating,contacting the light-sensitive material with a dye-receiving material, andtransferring a diffusible dye formed in the light-sensitive material to the dye-receiving material in the presence of a solvent. The hydrophobic resin of the subbing layer has a glass transition point of from 30.degree. C. to 250.degree. C.

    Abstract: A hologram is directly recorded in a sensitized metal substrate. The hologram may be an amplitude hologram, or may be treated to produce a phase relief hologram which may be stamped into a plastic material for reproduction, be archivally stored, or used as a master for electroforming a second durable surface relief hologram for use as an embossing master. A suitable material is prepared from a polished silver plate exposed to halogen vapors. After exposure, the plate is developed and fixed, and the surface is differentially etched to form a surface relief suitable for hologram embossing. Daguerreotype processes are modified to make surface amplitude holograms and phase holograms. By etching through a metal film a semiconductor mask is obtained. By depositing a silver film directly on a wafer, masks are made with very high feature definition.
