Abstract: Apparatus for producing honeycomb panel comprising a heating chamber isolated by a wall from outer air and a plurality of drawout trays capable of being individually inserted into and withdrawn from the heating chamber through a plurality of openings formed in the wall. Each of these drawout trays has a work accommodating chamber connected to a vacuum source, a top opening of which can be hermetically closed by a flexible sheet that can be opened and closed. Also each of the drawout trays has block plates at the front and rear ends for closing the opening in the wall at every terminal positions when inserted and withdrawn.

Abstract: A furnace system adapted to perform various manufacturing phases in the production of gas-filled discharge tubes designed as transient protectors includes at least two vertically spaced treatment tube sections separated from each other by a sealing tube. Treatment trays pass through the sealing tube in a vertical direction; the inside of the sealing tube and the outside of the treatment trays are adjusted to each other in terms of dimensions and materials so that there is obtained adequate sealing between the treatment sections while maintaining a sufficiently low coefficient of friction to permit the treatment trays to readily pass therethrough.

One or more workpieces or materials are pressed, joined, formed or treated by placing them in a reusable or permanent type, closable chamber having a movable wall portion, the same and/or other wall portions having a bellows construction.
