Abstract: A system includes a platform having an upper surface and defining a recess having a floor, the recess configured to seat a dish, and a movable securing frame that is movably connected with the platform, the frame including a lift support having an upper surface that is movable along a path from a first location that is beneath the floor of the recess, through the recess, to a second location that is coplanar with the upper surface of the platform. A motor configured to cause oscillation of the platform and the movable securing frame can be used. A method of using the system can include placing a dish above a recess defined by an upper surface of a platform, and lowering the frame with respect to the platform, thereby seating the dish within the recess.

Abstract: A method for denitrification of flue gases and a system, wherein flue gases generated in a rotary kiln are conveyed to a calcining zone for the deacidification of raw cement meal. Aqueous ammonia solution, ammonia, or ammonia-releasing substances for denitrifying the flue gases injected into the calcining zone according to the method of selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR), and the flue gas stream, together with an ammonia slip generated during the denitrification, is passed through a heat exchanger and through at least one dedusting device. The flue gas is guided through a exhaust gas line via a catalyst for the decomposition of excess ammonia with residues of nitrogen oxide in accordance with a method of selective catalytic reduction (SCR), wherein the catalyst is arranged in a reactor provided in the exhaust line, and is no larger than is required for a sufficient decomposition of the ammonia.

Abstract: The embodiments herein relate to methods and apparatus for inserting a substrate into a processing chamber. While many of the disclosed embodiments are described in relation to insertion of a semiconductor substrate into an anneal chamber with minimal introduction of oxygen, the implementations are not so limited. The disclosed embodiments are useful in many different situations where a relatively flat object is inserted through a channel into a processing volume, where it is desired that a particular gas concentration in the processing volume remain low. The disclosed embodiments use multiple cavities to serially attenuate the concentration of oxygen as the substrate moves into the processing volume of the anneal chamber. In some cases, a relatively high flow of gas originating from the anneal chamber is used. Further, a relatively low transfer speed may be used to transport the substrate into and out of the anneal chamber.

The system also includes a gas loading system capable of providing a gas loading pressure to the gas loading chamber containing the plurality of metallic micro-structures with an amount of one or more isotopes of hydrogen to form hydrogen clusters. In one form, the system further includes a thermal transducer capable of converting a first portion of the thermal energy. In still another form, the system additionally includes a waste heat recovery device capable of applying a second portion of the thermal energy.

The cover is disposed at a position corresponding to the selenium layer on the back electrode substrate and has a sulfur in solid form formed thereon, so as to make the sulfur in solid form opposite to the selenium layer. After the sulfur in solid form absorbs the heat energy generated by the heating device, the sulfur in solid form reacts with the selenium layer and the precursor layer to form a photoelectric transducing layer.

The heating chamber includes at least one metal layer and at least one non-reactive disposed thereon. The improved heating chamber is protected against reacting chemically during the thermal treatment process, and has better anti-corrosion capability. The heating chamber is also protected against cracking. Therefore, the service life of the heating chamber is extended. A heating device having improved heating chamber and at least one method of forming the non-reactive layer are also disclosed.

A method of distributing heated air within a reflow soldering oven is further disclosed.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses to produce graphene and nanoparticle catalysts supported on graphene without the use of reducing agents, and with the concomitant production of heat, are provided. The methods and apparatuses employ radiant energy to reduce (deoxygenate) graphite oxide (GO) to graphene, or to reduce a mixture of GO plus one or more metals to to produce nanoparticle catalysts supported on graphene. Methods and systems to generate and utilize heat that is produced by irradiating GO, graphene and their metal and semiconductor nanocomposites with visible, infrared and/or ultraviolet radiation, e.g. using sunlight, lasers, etc. are also provided.

Abstract: Pyrolysis methods and apparatuses that allow effective heat removal, for example when necessary to achieve a desired throughput or process a desired type of biomass, are disclosed. According to representative methods, the use of a quench medium (e.g., water), either as a primary or a secondary type of heat removal, allows greater control of process temperatures, particularly in the reheater where char, as a solid byproduct of pyrolysis, is combusted. Quench medium may be distributed to one or more locations within the reheater vessel, such as above and/or within a dense phase bed of fluidized particles of a solid heat carrier (e.g., sand) to better control heat removal.

In a reflow furnace according to the present invention, the total area per unit area of discharge holes formed in a perforated plate in a heater for blowing hot air installed in a main heating zone is 1.5-5 times the total area per unit area of the discharge holes formed in a perforated plate of a heater for blowing hot air installed in a preheating zone. A heater for blowing hot air has a body divided into three chambers by partitions.

The burnable fuel supply subsystem can feed the materials directly into the kiln subsystem, can convert the materials into different form and feed the different form to the kiln subsystem or feed a combination of the materials, different forms and optionally conventional fuels to the kiln subsystem.
