Abstract: A muscle memory training device for attaching to a joint of a user, such as, for example, a wrist joint. The training device includes a pair of opposing circuit boards for overlying first and second elements of the joint. The pair of circuit boards are pivotally connected with a pivot point configured to be placed over the joint. The circuit boards include individual contact traces which are configured and arranged such that when said traces are rotated past each other, the traces sequentially complete one of a sequence of circuits, providing a signal at each one of a plurality of contact positions depending on opposing circuit board rotation positions. In this manner, sensory input is provided to a user while practicing a movement.

Abstract: This invention relates to apparatus for use in training students in unarmed combat, in particular the martial arts, and in methods of self-defence. It provides equipment, that can be in the form of a kit, comprising a visual marker that is detachably attached to an item of wearing attire for wearing in an unarmed combat training exercise or competition. When the attire bearing the attached marker is worn in use, the marker identifies, by its position on the attire, a body zone of the wearer that is to be targeted, in a training exercise or competition, by an opponent of the wearer. The wearer then endeavours to remove the marker from the garment, success indicating a successful strike at the target zone of the wearer's body.

Abstract: Recording and communicating human body motion may be provided. One or more wearable device may each include a set of sensors for characterizing motion, a set of vibrating elements placed at different locations, and a radio. Data may be received from the wearable devices and stored at a mobile device. Such data may characterize a set of motions performed over a period of recording time by a recording user wearing the registered wearable devices. When a request for playback of the recorded motions is received at the mobile device from a user wearing the registered wearable devices, it may be determined that the requesting user has different dimensions than the recording user. As such, the stored data may be adjusted based on the difference in dimensions. Abstract: To provide a motor function evaluation device and a motor function evaluation method capable of evaluating a motor function of a subject comprehensively and easily. A motor function evaluation device 1 of the present invention includes a measurement base 11, a load measurement unit 14 that measures load change over time of the subject applied to the measurement base 11, and an arithmetic unit 24 that determines a balance ability indicator of the subject determined by the load change over time measured by the load measurement unit 14. The arithmetic unit 24 determines the balance ability indicator from a time interval from when the subject stands up and the load applied to the load measurement unit 14 is maximized until when the load variation is stabilized.

  • Patent number: 8827717
Abstract: New types of controllers allow players to make inputs to a video game or simulation by moving the entire controller itself. This capability is typically accomplished using a wireless input device having accelerometers, gyroscopes, and an infrared LED tracking camera. The present invention exploits these wireless motion-sensing technologies to modulate the player's movement inputs to the videogame based upon physiological signals. Such biofeedback-modulated video games train valuable mental skills beyond eye-hand coordination. These psychophysiological training technologies enhance personal improvement, not just the diversion, of the user.
