Insulating Body Having Plural Mutually Insulated Terminals Or Contacts (e.g., Terminal Block) Patents (Class 439/709)
  • Publication number: 20110065330
Abstract: A terminal wire block includes a spring clamp and a screw clamp to hold an electrical wire in a fixed position using one or both of the clamps. The spring clamp includes a cage and a spring to push the wire against one of the walls of the cage. The screw clamp includes an externally threaded fastener such as a screw to hold the wire in place when the fastener is tightened. One or both of the spring clamp and the screw clamp may be operated independently of the other one of the spring clamp and the screw clamp. When operated together, the spring clamp and screw clamp provide additional integrity and security to the contact.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a mounting base, a buss bar with slots and a slotted extension therebetween, and a terminal lug coupled to the buss bar, the terminal lug being adapted to couple directly a conductor to the buss bar at the slotted extension without intermediate interfaces between the conductor and the buss bar. The terminal lug includes a bottom dimensioned to fit on the underside of the slotted extension, and sides dimensioned to fit inside the slots. The terminal lug is restrained from sliding off the slotted extension by being disposed in a lug clearance recess formed in the mounting base that is at a lower elevation than a buss bar support surface. Auxiliary connectors are interconnected to selected pairs or groups of pairs of the connector units. The connector units and auxiliary connectors enable the connection of communication devices, such as telephone sets, to cables connected to the distribution box, as well as computer modems and network interface adapters. One of the auxiliary connectors is connected to media converter circuitry for converting between an optical data signal interfaced to an optical connector and an electrical data signal interfaced to the auxiliary connector.

  • Patent number: 7559810
Abstract: Provided is a terminal block structure which includes a base. The base is provided with one or more terminal recesses thereabove. Inside the terminal recess are a holder and an inverted U-shaped nut. The holder and the inverted U-shaped nut mate and engage with each other, and have to be inserted into the terminal recess by a force. The square shape of the inverted U-shaped nut has a retaining effect on the inverted U-shaped nut positioned inside the terminal recess. Hence, a fastener (a screw or a bolt) penetrating the holder and the inverted U-shaped nut and thereby fixing the holder and the inverted U-shaped nut in position is mechanically counteracted by the inverted U-shaped nut, and thus the holder and the inverted U-shaped nut are unlikely to be released from the terminal recess.
