Abstract: A spinning top toy includes a braking member, a shaft part which is configured to be rotated, and a body which is detachably attached to the shaft part. The body is configured to be detached from the shaft part by being rotated with respect to the shaft part. When an impact is applied to the body, the braking member is configured on one of the shaft part and the body and is movable by a centrifugal force. When urged by the centrifugal force, the braking member is configured to become in contact with the other of the shaft part and the body.
Abstract: There is provided a spinning top excellent in the dimensional accuracy and excellent in the rotation balance and a method for manufacturing the spinning top. The spinning top 100 includes a rotating shaft 110 and a rotating outer circumference section 120 that is fitted to the outer circumference of the rotating shaft 110 so as to be coaxial with the rotating shaft 110, in which the rotating shaft 110 includes a parallel section 112 that has a circular cylindrical shape parallel to the rotation axis AX of the rotating shaft 110 and is fitted to the rotating outer circumference section 120, a tapered section 114 that continues to the parallel section 112, inclines by a predetermined angle with respect to the rotation axis AX of the rotating shaft 110, and is fitted to the rotating outer circumference section 120, and a tip section 116 that continues to the parallel section 112 or the tapered section 114.
Abstract: A spinner capable of imparting clockwise and counterclockwise rotation to a toy top by pulling a string. The spinner includes a spinner body, a first gear with string wound therearound, a second gear meshing with the first gear, and first and second toy top holders that rotate interlockingly with the second gear. The string has one end attached to the first gear and the other end can be pulled from the outside. The holders each include a portion for holding the toy top. The holding portions protrude from upper and lower surfaces of the spinner body, respectively. The holders are adapted to rotate the toy top clockwise and counterclockwise according to rotation of the second gear by pulling the string.
Abstract: A toy top which encases a plurality of repelled magnets and a magnetic controller which encases a controlling magnet. The repelled magnets in the top direct a magnetic field away from their embodiment with an opposing polarity to the magnetic field directed by the magnetic controller and away from its embodiment. Contact of the two opposing magnetic fields results in a magnetic force which repels the top away from the magnetic controller while the top is spinning. The top is put into a rotational spin by pulling a rip cord through a handle and turning a spinning gear fit into the top's gear fitting.
Abstract: A jousting element for use in a game. The jousting element has a body which is arranged around a cylindrically aligned vertical axis. The body is configured to rotate about the vertical axis and to be carried above a playing surface. A traveling component connected to the body enables the body of the jousting element to be carried above the playing surface along multiple directions of travel. Attached to the body is a first playing component. The first playing component enables the jousting element to engage a second jousting element.
Abstract: A spinner for a toy top where a toy top can be spun by merely loading the toy top on the spinner and pulling a string. The spinner includes a spinner main body with a first gear having a string can be wound thereon, a second gear meshing with the first gear, and a toy top holder rotated according to rotation of the second gear. The first gear is linked with a member biasing the first gear in a winding direction of the string, one end of the string being attached to the first gear, and the other end thereof protruding from the spinner main body such that it can be pulled. The toy top holder includes a lower part protruded downwardly from a bottom face of the spinner main body and holding sections provided on a bottom face thereof for holding the toy top.

A circular disc with a beaded rim is mounted on each end of a shaft; the rims of the discs forming a two-rail track encircling the shaft. A handle has two legs attached to opposite ends of the shaft. The spindles are magnetically attached to the two-rail track. The top orbits around the track in response to hand-manipulation of the handle; it is launched from the track when the orbital speed is sufficient to centrifugally separate the spindles from the track to spin on a surface, and can be magnetically retrieved, while spinning, by engagement of the spindles with the shaft, or with one or both of the discs.

When the central shaft is twisted to eject the spinning top, the movable wings are pivotally thrown outward to serve as weapons providing enhanced attacking force in a fighting game using spinning tops and produce more fun.

Abstract: A spinning figurine toy has a weighted skirt or disc to provide angular momentum, a lower spindle, a spring attached to the lower spindle, a foot inserted into the lower end of the spring, and a rod fixed in the foot and able to move vertically within the lower spindle. When the toy is spun upon the foot, bouncing or jumping motion may be imparted to the toy by dropping it from a height because of the resilient nature of the spring. A pull-string operated hand launcher having a helical spindle on top fits into a corresponding helical aperture in the foot to provide a means of setting the toy in motion at high speed and of releasing it.
Abstract: A yo-yo is provided with a construction by which it may be converted easily and quickly to a high performance surface spinning top. After detaching Zone of the yo-yo halves from the axle of the yo-yo, one of the yo-yo halves from the axle of the yo-yo, a spindle is attached to the center of the detached yo-yo half. Means are provided for defining a nib at the opposite face of the detached yo-yo half. The yo-yo string, which will have been removed from the axle may be used as a pull string to be wrapped around the spindle to impart acceleration to the top. The other part of the yo-yo including the other half and the axle are rotatably and telescopically engageable with the end of the spindle to stabilize the position and attitude of the top while it is accelerated. After acceleration, the stabilizer is easily withdrawn thus leaving the top to spin free on supporting surface.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a toy unit having a movable toy and a flat rectangular toy case having an engaging section disposed therein in which the movable toy is detachably set. Support structure is disposed therein for supporting the movable toy when the movable toy starts movement. The toy case includes a power generating assembly, whereby the toy case has a card shape in the state when the movable toy is set in the engaging section of the toy case.
Abstract: A toy top having an air impeller-driven flywheel and a spring-latch mechanism which releases an upper portion of the top from a lower housing when an articulated arm of the spinning top comes into contact with an object such as a stationary object or another top. The flywheel located inside the lower housing is rotated by blowing air into one of two ducts on the housing. The stream of air comes into contact with the blades of an impeller causing rotation of the impeller and the flywheel which is attached to the impeller. The flywheel is attached to a shaft rotatably mounted inside the housing. Slots in bosses extending upward from the housing releasably engage a plate at the bottom of the upper portion. The slots disengage from the plate when one of two articulated arms of the spinning top contacts an object allowing a spring mounted inside the upper portion to push the upper portion away from the lower housing. The top appears to "blow up" as the upper portion pops up from the housing.
