Patent number: 6139328Abstract: Disclosed is a grappling dummy is useful as a mock opponent for exercise or practice for athletes training for competitive martial art or wrestling purposes, as well as for practicing self-defense moves. The dummy is given a life size stature (for example, five foot ten inches or 178 cm), but a relatively diminutive weight:--e.g., about forty pounds or 18 kg for the given example. Patent number: 6109196Abstract: A method of making a stuffed toy requires first fastening together multiple fabric pieces to make a container which encloses an interior volume and which has an exterior surface. The container includes an opening into the interior volume which has two lips. A length of filament is used to stitch through the fabric to form multiple spaced apart loops along the length of the opening. Each loop extends from one lip to the other and is untensioned so as to allow the lips to be separated. A stuffing apparatus with an injection tube can propel stuffing material through the tube. The tube is inserted into the opening between adjacent loops of the filament and stuffing material is injected into the interior volume of the container. The injection tube is then withdrawn and the filament is tensioned to tension the loops to draw the lips into abutment.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 1999Date of Patent: August 29, 2000Assignee: Tonyco, Inc.Inventor: Dennis Silber

Patent number: 5382187Abstract: The present invention discloses a specially designed doll that could accept the transfer of a computer portrait directly on its face without wrinkling. The face of the doll is shaped similar to a real face and cut out on the straight of the material to ensure that it does not stretch or wrinkle. The panels forming the sides of the head are cut on the bias of the material in order to stretch with the pressure of the heat press but not affect the face area. This allows the face to remain flat so that the picture does not wrinkle and the result is a clear picture.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 1993Date of Patent: January 17, 1995Inventor: Dorothy A. Wilson
