Abstract: The present invention provides a roll shaft having high corrosion resistance and rigidity against bending, and a brush roll comprising the roll shaft. The roll shaft 2 is for use in a brush roll 1 for brushing a strip of metal sheet. The roll shaft includes: a shaft body 7 to which multiple annular discs 4 having multiple brush bristles 5 implanted around the outer peripheral edge of the discs 4 are attached; key bases 8 attached to recessed grooves 72 provided on the outer peripheral edge of the shaft body 7, the key bases comprising keyways 80 into which insertion members 6 projecting from the inner peripheral edge of the annular discs 4 are fitted, and the key bases 8 comprising a corrosion-resistant metallic material, a corrosion-resistant alloy, or a corrosion-resistant resin material.
Abstract: A quick replacement device of an abrasive belt wheel is disposed on a belt sander. The belt sander has an abrasive belt wheel box. The abrasive belt wheel box is provided with two spaced fixing seats. Two ends of the abrasive belt wheel are provided with brackets relative to the fixing seats. The brackets and the fixing seats are fixed through fixing members. Through the fixing members, the abrasive belt wheel can be assembled to or disassembled from the abrasive belt wheel box quickly, providing a simple and quick replacement effect. The time to replace the abrasive belt wheel can be shortened so as to enhance work efficiency and economic efficiency.
Abstract: In an apparatus on a carding machine for grinding a fibre processing clothing on a roller or a card flat, grinding equipment includes at least one grinding element and an infeed device serving to position the grinding element against the clothing. To permit reliable detection and monitoring of the contact between the at least one grinding element and the clothing in a simple manner, a structure-borne noise sensor is associated with the grinding equipment and an electronic evaluator is capable of determining from the structure-borne noise the intensity of the contact between the at least one grinding element and the clothing.
Abstract: An improved polishing apparatus having a dampening system to prevent fluctuations between the planar head polishing device and the circuit panel. The dampening system includes a load actuation arm having a hydraulic-pneumatic cylinder which is controlled by an connected dampening circuit.

Abstract: A toothed timing belt is produced from a belt blank utilizing an apparatus having a belt blank fixturing device for supporting the belt blank for selective indexable rotation about a first axis and a toothed grinding wheel rotatable about a second transverse axis and supported for movement across the width of the belt blank in a direction parallel to the first axis for cutting a series of circumferentially spaced transverse teeth into the belt blank. The belt blank is indexed with each pass of the grinding wheel until the entire belt has been provided with teeth. The toothed belt blank may then be severed about its periphery to provide a plurality of discrete timing belt members.
