Abstract: Method for deburring gear wheels, for example, bevel gears, using a deburring brush, comprising at least N=1 brush bundles, having the following steps: rotationally driving the deburring brush about a spindle axis, rotationally driving a gear wheel or a bevel gear about a workpiece spindle axis, wherein the rotational driving of the deburring brush and the rotational driving of the gear wheel or the bevel gear take place in a coupled manner at a coupling transmission ratio, the method is a continuous method in which the at least N=1 brush bundle executes a relative flight movement in relation to the gear wheel or the bevel gear, the relative flight movement is defined by a hypocycloid or an epicycloid, and wherein a burr is removed at least on one tooth edge of a tooth gap by a contact of the at least N=1 brush bundle with the tooth edge.

Abstract: A multi-purpose machine for wall processing includes a base, a working member and a sliding device that drives the working member slide up and down relative to the base. The base includes a bottom board with moving wheels therebelow, a top board, and several parallel upright posts therebetween. The working member includes a cover and a roller set inside the cover. A built-in motor is set inside the roller. Wall processing tools are releasably fixed on the outside of the roller. A feeding hole is provided on the upper part of the cover and connected with a supply system or an absorbing system. The multi-purpose machine may perform operations including putty scraping, grinding and polishing, painting, cleaning and wall paper removing on the wall to replace human labor, thus realizing multiple purposes, reducing the labor strength, and improving the working efficiency.
Abstract: In a swivel device, a swivel head provided with a plurality of tool spindles thereon is mounted on a support base to be turnable about a swivel shaft being upright on the support base. An annular space portion is formed between the support base and the swivel head in coaxial relation with the swivel shaft. The tool spindles each mounting a grinding wheel are arranged on the swivel head to extends in a horizontal plane which crosses the annular space portion at about a mid position in the vertical direction of the annular space portion. A direct drive motor is built in the annular space portion so that a driving center of the direct drive motor is at almost the same height as the horizontal plane including the axes of the grinding wheels. Thus, the swivel device can lower the positions of the rotational axes of the grinding wheels and is rigid against inclination caused by grinding resistance acting on the grinding wheels.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of processing a synthetic quartz glass substrate for a semiconductor, wherein a polishing part of a rotary small-sized processing tool is put in contact with a surface of the synthetic quartz glass substrate in a contact area of 1 to 500 mm2, and is scanningly moved on the substrate surface while being rotated so as to polish the substrate surface. When the method is applied to the production of a synthetic quartz glass such as one for a photomask substrate for use in photolithography which is important to the manufacture of ICs or the like, a substrate having an extremely excellent flatness and capable of being used even with the EUV lithography can be obtained comparatively easily and inexpensively.

Abstract: A cylindrical grinder includes a workpiece support section adapted to support a generally cylindrical workpiece and rotate the workpiece about a rotational axis, and a wheel head adapted to support and rotate a grinding wheel. Abstract: A computer controlled grinding machine grinds a cylindrical region and an annular shoulder of a rotatable workpiece. Relative movement is effected between the workpiece and a grinding wheel along a line of action which subtends an angle of approach of less than 90 degrees to the Z axis of rotation of the workpiece. Such an angle of approach enables the wheel to grind the annular shoulder of the workpiece simultaneously with grinding the cylindrical portion.

Abstract: A mower blade sharpener apparatus has an automatic reciprocating holder means to sharpen lawn mower blades conveniently with any stationary circular flat-faced grindstone with its driving motor affixed to a common base. A housing frame having open opposing sides contains a blade holder with upper and lower securing clamps and a V-shaped cradle. The housing frame is attached by a screw to a carriage automatically moved back and forth a limited distance on a pair of parallel rods to sharpen the lawn mower blade. The housing frame and carriage are driven by a pneumatic system designed with a reciprocating movement of approximately 4 inches in a cycle duration of approximately a second. An on/off pneumatic valve switch automatically shuts off the pneumatic pressure when a semicylindrical shield which covers the blade portion not being sharpened is rotated back away from the blade.

Abstract: This specification discloses an improved fully automatic scraper grinder, which is modified from a conventional semi-automatic model. It comprises an emery wheel base, a set of upper and lower fine tuning devices driven by a motor provided thereon, and a set of front and back two-step displacement device driven by a cylinder. By incorporating a specially designed emery wheel with two different sizes of emery on the front and back, the emery wheel can provide a set of fully automatic grinding procedure that can first roughly grind then finely grind according to different scrapers using a digital control system so as to achieve a highly efficient automatic grinding. Furthermore, a worm type angle adjuster is provided on a scraper holder for adjusting the angle of the scraper holder, an automatic switching aspirator is provided on the emery wheel base for automatic switches to single sided air intake in the reciprocating motion of the emery wheel to remove the dusts produced by the scraper grinding.
Abstract: There is provided at least one of a moving device for moving a graining brush in the width direction of aluminum web and a turning device for turning the graining brush so that the graining brush can be placed obliquely against a transporting direction of the aluminum web. By moving the graining brush periodically in the width direction of the aluminum web, the entire graining brush uniformly comes into contact with the aluminum web. By turning the graining brush to place it obliquely against the transporting direction of the aluminum web, the entire graining brush can always come into contact with the aluminum web. Accordingly, the abrasion in the bristles of the graining brush is maintained uniform.
Abstract: A roll grinder system including a roll grinder bed of high dynamic stiffness, having a roll support and a grinding wheel support fixedly mounted to the roll grinder bed. The roll grinder bed is comprised of a monolithic epoxy granite block with a steel plate embedded in the top surface and a steel plate embedded in the bottom surface. The bed for the support for the roll being ground is rigidly affixed to the top plate. The bed for the traversing carriage of the grinding wheel head is also rigidly affixed to the top plate. Abstract: An apparatus and method for automated honing of elongated straight-edged cutting blades such as those used in the printing and binding industry for the trimming of books or pamphlets and the like, wherein a sharpened blade which has been ground on other equipment is thereafter registered and secured at a predetermined angle upon a moveable blade holder support of the apparatus hereof, which support is then cycled to longitudinally displace so that the blade edge is thereby brought into sequential engagement with progressively finer abrasive surfaces of a longitudinal array of cooperative upper and lower orbitally driven honing heads whereby on a single reciprocated pass therethrough the blade is efficiently finished to a smooth sharp cutting edge. In an alternate embodiment of the apparatus and method hereof it is the honing heads which are longitudinally reciprocated while the blade to be honed is held upon a stationary blade holder support.

Abstract: In place of conventional machining of cylinder paths or tracks of piston engines, a honing machining without a rotary component is performed at least as a final machining operation so that the remaining small honing tracks are directed longitudinally and consequently permit an improved running-in behavior in conjunction with the piston rings. A preferred honing tool this has honing segments taking up a large circumferential portion and which are preferably resiliently constructed in Such a way that they automatically adapt to the cylinder path. A coating of components in the vicinity or working chambers, such as internal combustion chambers, e.g. of piston rings, comprises a chemically inert, anti-adhesive metal, such as e.g. niobium or zirconium. It is applied in a target process in vacuo and has a small thickness of approximately 8 micrometers.

Abstract: A variable reciprocating and rotating sanding apparatus comprises a drive shaft that is partially surrounded by first and second cams. The cams cooperate to form a cam track. A cross shaft is connected to the drive shaft and extends outwardly therefrom. The cross shaft is disposed in the cam track and serves to drive the cams in response to rotation of the drive shaft. An adjustable housing surrounds the cams and supports a sanding surface. The housing comprises a tapered housing and an expansion sleeve. The expansion sleeve has a plurality of slots allowing the diameter of the expansion sleeve to expand as the expansion sleeve is slid over the tapered housing. The expansion sleeve expands outwardly against the sanding sleeve to frictionally support the sanding sleeve.
