Abstract: An air outlet structure for an air conditioner, which can provide a sufficient volume and speed of air conditioning airflow, which has excellent directivity, and which has a thin air outlet directed to the interior of a vehicle. In the air outlet structure (10) for an air conditioner, a movable flow path member (14) provided in a case (12) can be deformed to a triangle and to a pentagon according to operation of a left-right adjustment knob (44), and this changes the shape of a flow path in the case (12). Accordingly, the flow path in the case (12) does not require fins for changing the direction of the left and right. As a result, the flow path in the case (12) can have a sufficient effective cross-sectional area to provide a sufficient volume and speed of air conditioning airflow.

Abstract: The invention relates to an HVAC vent control system. There is a need for a mechanism by which an operator can easily adjust HVAC vent controls for vents remote from the operator. A roof panel forms a set of air vents and ports. A vent control unit includes left and right door units mounted for rotation on the panel. Each door unit has a louver door and a gear piece connected thereto. The louver doors are movable to control airflow through the ports. The gear pieces are in meshing engagement with the other so that the door units operate symmetrically with respect to each other. A control knob is coupled to the one of the gear pieces so that rotation of the knob causes rotation of the first and second gear pieces and corresponding movement of the left and right louver doors.

Abstract: A downstream side fin group is formed by a plurality of fins. Among these fins, end fins positioned at both ends in an arranging direction are arranged near second wall portions. Each end fin has an extension portion which is bent at upstream end thereof and extends toward the corresponding second wall portion. A space is provided near each second wall portion in the ventilation passage. Each space is closed by the corresponding extension portion at a time when the corresponding end fin is arranged at a maximum inclined position at which the end fin is most away from the second wall portion, and the extension portion enters the space at a time when the end fin is arranged at a different position from the maximum inclined position.

Abstract: An exhaust device is used to exhaust air from inside of an apparatus to outside. The exhaust device includes a louver with blades arrayed in a lattice, the louver being detachably engaged with a trough hole in a cover of the apparatus such that the louver can rotate freely in a clockwise and a counterclockwise direction. A fan unit provided separately from the louver is positioned upstream in an airflow direction than the louver, so as not to rotate when the louver is rotated. The blades form an angle between 0° and 90° with a plane perpendicular to a central axis of the louver.

Abstract: A door driving system includes a door for controlling an air flow, a transmission mechanism for operating the door, and a driving motor for exerting a rotation force at the transmission mechanism. The door has a body portion and a rotation portion, which has an approximate cylinder shape and is integrally rotatable with the body portion. The transmission mechanism converts the rotation force of the driving motor to an axial force in an axis direction thereof, and then converting the axial force to a driving force for rotating the rotation portion. The transmission mechanism is arranged at an inner side of the rotation portion. The driving motor is constructed of a DC motor. Accordingly, the door driving system is compact and light.

Abstract: An air-conditioning register includes a cylinder-shaped retainer, and a fin assembly, which includes a plurality of synchronously swingable fins. The fin assembly includes a fin sub-assembly. The fin sub-assembly includes the fins, which neighbor to each other, in a quantity of from two or more to less than a total number of the fins. The fins, which belong to an identical fin sub-assembly, make a first imaginary plane, which passes the swing shafts of the fins. The fins, which neighbor to each other but are free of belonging to the identical fin sub-assembly, make a second imaginary plane, which passes the swing shafts of the fins. The first imaginary plane and the second imaginary plane cross to each other. The fins, which belong to the identical fin sub-assembly, are disposed one after another consecutively when the fins swing to a predetermined position, respectively.

Abstract: An air-conditioning register is buried in a decorative panel having a decorative surface, and includes a cylinder-shaped retainer having a ventilation passage, a fin assembly disposed swingably and adjacent to the outlet opening in the retainer, a connecting member for connecting the fin assembly, and an operating member for driving the connecting member. The air-conditioning register operates interchangeably between a blowing direction adjusting mode, in which the fin assembly adjusts a blowing direction of air-conditioning air, and a shut-off mode, in which the fin assembly shuts off the outlet opening. The ventilation passage extends in a lengthwise direction which intersects with the decorative surface at an acute angle. The fin assembly includes main fin members, and a sub fin member. In the blowing direction adjusting mode, the main fin members swing, but the sub fin member is held substantially parallel to the lengthwise direction of the ventilation passage.

Abstract: An air duct outlet includes a housing having spaced-apart top and bottom walls, and spaced-apart first and second side walls extending between the top and bottom walls to define an air passageway having an inlet and outlet. A first air return passageway is located adjacent to the first side wall, and diverts a portion of an air stream flowing through the air passageway as the air stream adheres to the first side wall. A second air return passageway is located adjacent to the second side wall, and diverts a portion of an air stream flowing through the air passageway as the air stream adheres to the second side wall. The continuous diversion of portions of an air stream flowing through the air passageway by the first and second air return passageways causes an oscillating, sweeping motion of the air stream as it exits from the air passageway outlet.
