Abstract: A system is configured for managing security of a database associated with an organization. A fingerprint of an authorized user is captured. The data is scrambled using a scrambling technique. A list of users authorized to access the data is received from the user. A descrambler key corresponding to the scrambling technique is generated. The descrambler key is associated with fingerprints and predetermined location coordinates of authorized users. The descrambler key is configured to descramble the data when authorized users attempt to access the data using their fingerprints at their corresponding location coordinates. The scrambled data is encrypted. The system determines whether a particular user attempting to access the data is authorized to access the data by validating a fingerprint and location coordinates of the particular user. If the particular user is authenticated, the descrambler key descrambles the data. The particular user is allowed to access the data.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein involve facilitating playback in a media playback system that includes a first media device and a second media device. An example implementation involves comparing one or more first network performance metrics corresponding to a network interface of the first media device to one or more second network performance metrics corresponding to a network interface of the second media device, wherein the comparison indicates that the first media device has a better network connection than the second media device. Based on the comparison, the first media device is configured to forward data indicating audio content from a network source to the second media device to facilitate playback of the audio content by the second media device. The second media device plays back particular audio content via one or more speakers by receiving data indicating the particular audio content from the first media device.

  • Patent number: 10846048
Abstract: An electronic device that coordinates a playback operation is described. In particular, an interface circuit in the electronic device may calculate, based on differences between transmit times when packets were transmitted by a second electronic device and receive times of the packets, relative drift as a function of time between a clock in the interface circuit and a second clock in the second electronic device. Then, the interface circuit may adjust, based on the relative drift, a clock circuit that provides the clock to eliminate the relative drift, and may determine a remaining time offset between the clock and the second clock. Next, the interface circuit may modify a future time when the electronic device is to perform the playback operation based on the remaining time offset to determine a corrected future time, and the electronic device may perform the playback operation at the corrected future time.

Abstract: A radiographic imaging apparatus includes a radiation detector, a reader and a hardware processor. The radiation detector includes a substrate. On the substrate, radiation detection elements are arranged two-dimensionally. The radiation detection elements generate amounts of electric charges corresponding to doses of radiation by being irradiated with the doses of the radiation. The reader reads the amounts of the electric charges generated by the respective radiation detection elements as signal values, and generates image data based on the signal values. The hardware processor communicates with a portable terminal having a web browser, generates web content displayable on the web browser in response to a request from the portable terminal, and sends at least one of the web content and the image data to the portable terminal in response to the request from the portable terminal.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a method for use in a network node comprises sending a control information message to at least one wireless device that is in idle mode. The message comprises a mapping that maps a quasi co-location (QCL) assumption to a multicast transmission or multicast channel. For example, in certain embodiments, the multicast transmission or multicast channel is associated with a temporary multicast group indicator (TMGI), and the mapping maps the QCL assumption to the TMGI. The control information message causes the at least one wireless device to use the QCL assumption to decode the multicast transmission or multicast channel while in idle mode.
