Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a dock that extends the utility of an electronic device are provided. In some embodiments, responsive to detecting an electronic device, a dock may cause an establishment of a connection between the dock and the electronic device. The dock may obtain one or more interface requirements for the electronic device that enable the dock to interact with the electronic device. The dock may obtain, via the established connection, based on the interface requirements, a request from an application of the electronic device for content stored at a source external to the dock and the electronic device. The dock may cause the requested content to be presented via at least one of the output devices responsive to obtaining the requested content from the external source.

Abstract: A method can include the steps of logging in of mobile devices of participants when they are located in the same physical conference environment and managing the resources of these devices such that the resources of the logged-in devices are combined into an audio system to output audio conference information using a sound output process in the conference environment. The conference environment may be a conference room. The audio conference information may be audio to be output to the participants at the conference environment. The formed audio system can include speakers of the user devices for outputting such audio. The microphones of the user devices may also be used to form an audio input system for the conference for allowing audio of the participants to be received and transmitted during the conference. A communication system can be configured to implement embodiments of the method.

In various embodiments, the data processing system: (1) executes computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the at least one computer processor, facilitate the playing of a game by the user; (2) gathers performance data indicating the user's performance while the user plays the game; and (3) automatically evaluates the performance data to assess, for the user, awareness of the user's abilities in performing a past or future task. The data processing system may gather and process related data on various levels and then use this information to assist the user in improving the user's executive function skills.

Abstract: Embodiments are provided for querying a media server for media content based on user-selected metadata associated with first media while the first media is being experienced by a user. In one embodiment, at least one metadata associated with the first media may be displayed for the user to review while the first media is being experienced by the user. The user may then select a displayed metadata to initiate a search for media content based on the selected metadata. The search for media content may be performed by querying a media server associated with a selection of media content services. The user may then review the results of the media query, select media content from the results, and initiate further action, such as adding the media content to a digital repository, or purchasing the media content.

The method for voice calling includes: detecting whether a sensed distance value of an on-site terminal is less than a preset threshold, entering a predetermined call mode if the sensed distance value is less than the preset threshold, auto-playing a voice signal of an opposite terminal in the predetermined call mode, and if a voice signal of the on-site terminal is detected in the predetermined call mode, collecting the voice signal of the on-site terminal, and transmitting the voice signal of the on-site terminal to the opposite terminal.

A method and system for managing data transmission in a communication network is provided. During Data Resource Bearer (DRB) creation, network signals to a transmitting node, the data transfer requirement. The network uses a signaling parameter to indicate a large data transfer requirement. Based on the data transfer requirement information collected from the network, the transmitting node determines the type of data format that needs to be used for the data transmission. If the network signals large data transfer requirement, then the transmitting node selects a Subheader format in which the length field of the data format suits the large data transfer requirement. Further, data communication is initiated using the selected Subheader format.
