  • Patent number: 12255825
Abstract: A method of reducing network traffic includes blocking, at a mobile device, a first channel to reduce network signaling in a network and to reduce battery consumption. The first channel includes a non-common channel. The method includes offloading application traffic of an application onto a second channel. The second channel may include a common channel. The method may include monitoring the application traffic of the application over the second channel, unblocking the first channel based on the monitored application traffic so that the application can perform an action, and re-blocking the first channel after the action has been completed. The method may include unblocking the first channel when user activity is detected, wherein the user activity includes whether the mobile device is being interacted with.

  • Patent number: 12249152
Abstract: Present invention provides a system and method that includes installation of one or more cameras at various locations on a smart driving yard or in a parking lot. These cameras capture activity of a vehicle in the smart driving yard and perform an analysis using Computer Vision and machine learning. In some embodiments, one or more drones may also be employed for capturing the vehicle activity. The vehicle location is identified based on the individual pose of markers installed on the vehicle for easier object localization. The vehicle is then localized and its location is marked on a 2-dimensional map of the yard. Subsequently, a lane model is applied to identify driving violations or errors that a driver commits while driving. Subsequently, a lane model based on decision trees algorithm is trained to identify if the vehicle touches/intersects any of the parking line markings or any zones of interest.

  • Patent number: 12243055
Abstract: When incentivizing vendors to give greater discounts on items or services offered or advertised to specific customers on a third-party website in exchange for reduced advertisement pricing, a vendor enters offer parameters (e.g., item or service for sale, price or discount amount, terms of the offer, a permitted number of acceptances of the offer, etc.) into a user interface along with target customer criteria (e.g., age, gender, minimum income, etc.). The target criteria is matched to customer profile data, and an advertisement generated using the offer parameter information is presented to customers whose profiles match the target criteria. In return for offering larger discounts, a cost per event (CPE) associated with the advertisement is reduced for the vendor. An invoice is generated and transmitted to the vendor, and upon receipt of payment, the advertisement provider remits a portion of the received payment to the website owner.

Abstract: Methods and systems for resilient network communication are provided. In one aspect, a network includes multiple edge network elements, core network elements, and off-network network elements. Each network element has multiple ports. Communication paths exist between edge network elements, traversing core network elements. A maintenance domain maintains communication resiliency in the network through maintenance domain entities that detect network communication faults. Maintenance domain entities are associated with ports of edge network elements. VLAN service provision to subscribers occurs over the network by mapping services to VLAN tags such that the service VLAN includes information about the resilient network. VLAN service assignment to maintenance domains is balanced.

  • Patent number: 12167302
Abstract: A method and system employing a rich short message service application (RSAPP) for creating and transmitting a rich message are provided. The rich message includes a message and a brand identity. The RSAPP receives a request to send a short message service (SMS) message to a mobile number of a user (MNU). The RSAPP processes the request to send the SMS message and determines whether the MNU is enabled on one or more rich messaging channels (RMCs). Upon determining that the MNU is enabled on the RMCs, the RSAPP creates and transmits the rich message to the MNU on the enabled RMCs. Upon determining that the MNU is not enabled on the RMCs, the RSAPP confirms whether a setting specifies transmission of the received SMS message to the MNU as a SMS message if the MNU is not enabled on the RMCs. and the RSAPP transmits the received SMS message as a SMS message to the MNU.

Abstract: This Application sets forth techniques for provisioning and activating an electronic subscriber identity module (eSIM) as a primary SIM for a mobile wireless device that includes a limited functionality physical SIM (pSIM) associated with a particular mobile network operator (MNO) and installed in the mobile wireless device at a time of manufacture. An eSIM associated with the particular MNO is reserved during a sales order process and later activated during device activation after receipt by a user using a secure over-the-air (OTA) cellular connection enabled by the limited functionality pSIM, when a non-cellular connection or other Internet accessible connection is available. Dual SIM device configuration processes can be suppressed during activation of the eSIM. After successful attachment of the mobile wireless device to a cellular wireless network of the particular MNO using credentials of the eSIM, the limited functionality pSIM is disabled.
