When indicating, by using an RRC connection release message, a terminal to enter an inactive state from a connected state, a network device may include, in the RRC connection release message, a configuration parameter allocated to the terminal in the inactive state. That is, the terminal receives the radio resource control RRC connection release message sent by the network device, where the RRC connection release message includes first information used to indicate a target configuration parameter. In this way, the terminal may enter the inactive state based on the RRC connection release message, and determine a context parameter of the inactive state based on the first information, so that the configuration parameter is properly allocated to the terminal in the inactive state.

The method includes determining, by the terminal, identifier information and verification information of the profile that needs to be unlocked, where the identifier information of the profile is used to identify the profile installed in the terminal, and sending, by the terminal, a first unlock message to the eUICC, where the first unlock message carries the identifier information and the verification information of the profile, and where the first unlock message is used to instruct the eUICC to determine the profile and unlock the profile according to the policy rule after verification performed according to the verification information succeeds.

Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE), manufacturer server, and/or cellular network to perform radio capability signaling. A new type of UE radio capability identifier is provided which may allow a network to distinguish between similar UEs that have or have not implemented a capability update. In order to perform a forced capability update, a manufacturer may issue information about the update to a cellular network (and receive acknowledgement of the information) prior to pushing the update to UEs. In response to an unforced capability update, a cellular network may maintain multiple UE radio capability identifiers for similar UEs which have or have not implemented the update. A UE radio capability identifier may be adjusted dynamically in response to temporary changes in the UE's capability.

Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for communicating at a cellular router between a first wireless communication module and a first subscriber identity module (SIM). The cellular router receives a first request from a first wireless communication module and encapsulates the first request in a first modified request. The cellular router then sends the first modified request to a first SIM card in a first communication apparatus and waits for a first modified reply. While waiting for the first modified reply the cellular router sends at least one halt message to the first wireless communication module after a first time threshold. After receiving the first modified reply, the cellular router decapsulates the first modified reply to retrieve a first reply and sends the first reply to the first wireless communication module where the first modified reply is a reply to the first modified request.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may establish, by a first subscription of the UE, a connection to a first network entity using two transmit (Tx) chains of the UE. The UE may receive, by a second subscription of the UE, a paging message from a second network entity. The UE may receive, by the first subscription from the second subscription, a request for the first subscription to enter a mode that supports one Tx chain. The UE, by the first subscription, may reduce the two Tx chains to the one Tx chain for the first subscription. The UE may perform, by the second subscription to the second network entity, the connection setup based at least in part on the first subscription reducing the two Tx chains to the one Tx chain. Abstract: This application sets forth techniques for authenticating a mobile device with a cellular wireless network without electronic Subscriber Identity Module (eSIM) credentials by using an Extensible Authentication Protocol Transport Layer Security (EAP-TLS) procedure. The mobile device authenticates with an Authentication Server Function (AUSF) of the cellular wireless network using an embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card (eUICC) certificate. Processing circuitry of the mobile wireless device external to the eUICC implements the EAP-TLS procedure and authenticates validity of the AUSF. In some embodiments, the eUICC provides key generation and storage for a session key for communication between the mobile device and the cellular wireless network.

Abstract: Techniques for connectivity session between devices based on a connectivity trigger are described and may be implemented to enable a first device (e.g., a mobile device) to provide network connectivity for a second device. Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing vehicle collisions based on driver risk groups are provided. A plurality of vehicle operators may be classified into a driver risk group based on one or more attributes (e.g., location, workplace, school, demographic, hobby, interest, etc.) shared by the plurality of vehicle operators. Vehicle sensor data (e.g., speed data, acceleration data, braking data, cornering data, following distance data, turn signal data, seatbelt use data, etc.) associated with each of the plurality of vehicle operators of the driver risk group may be analyzed. Based on the analysis of the vehicle sensor data, one or more indicia of safe driving behavior associated with the driver risk group may be identified. In response to a third-party query regarding a vehicle operator in the driver risk group, an indication of the safe driving behavior associated with the driver risk group may be provided to the third party.

Abstract: A gateway has a transceiver for communicating with Bluetooth vitals devices (BVDs) and a processor and program instructions. The gateway receives and stores pairing keys from one or more of the BVDs for provisioning the BVDs to the gateway, receives vital sign information from the BVDs, stores the pairing keys in a remote trusted server, and communicates with other gateways in the environment. The gateway also retrieves pairing keys for unprovisioned BVDs from either another gateway or the remote trusted server, and creates a remote private network for secure communications among two or more of the gateway, the remote server, an electronic health records store, caregivers, physicians, or a personalized data service.

In some systems, a repeater may receive a first signal from a transmitting device and determine an amplified version of the signal may not be successfully received by a receiving device. The repeater may transmit a mode switch message to the transmitting device to indicate a request for the transmitting device to switch to a transmission mode associated with one or more different transmission parameters based on detecting that the amplified version of the signal may not be received by the receiving device. The transmitting device may adjust one or more transmission parameters according to the mode switch message and may transmit a second signal to the repeater based on the adjusted transmission parameters. The repeater, operating according to the mode switch message, may receive the second signal and transmit an amplified version of the second signal to the receiving device.

This disclosure provides improved throughput for network subscriptions in user devices by saving network resources.

Abstract: An on-vehicle device includes: a plurality of agent function units configured to provide services including causing an output unit to output an audio response in response to an utterance of an occupant of a vehicle; and a content management unit configured to determine whether or not the instructed content is stored in an in-vehicle storage device mounted in the vehicle or a portable storage medium brought into the vehicle when the playback of the content is instructed by the utterance of the occupant, and to cause the playback device to play back the content present in the in-vehicle storage device or the portable storage medium when the instructed content is determined as being stored in the in-vehicle storage device or the portable storage medium.
