Abstract: In a grant based system, a user equipment (UE) sends data in an uplink in a request-grant process. The UE first sending a scheduling request, a gNodeB processing the request and scheduling a grant sometime in future, then UE then either sending data if the grant is sufficient or requesting for another grant with more capacity to accommodate data sending. Such a proceeding could cause serious latency in network access. Described in the present patent disclosure are embodiments to reduce the access time by giving proactive grants through inspecting downlink (DL) data sent to the UE or uplink data being transmitted from the UE. The uplink data may be predictive since it maybe in lieu of requirement for sending a TCP acknowledgement for the DL TCP data scheduled earlier. For voice calls, a ML system for system may be deployed to predict when proactive UL grants may be given.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for interleaved mapping are described. In some implementations, a transmitting device identifies a set of virtual resource blocks (VRBs) corresponding to at least one code block to be transmitted to a receiving device. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a data packet to a user equipment (UE). The data packet may have an associated packet delay budget to maintain a quality of experience for a user of the UE. The UE may determine a packet delivery time associated with the packet based on a communications latency and a signal processing latency. The UE may assess the packet delay budget and determine a remaining delay budget based on the packet delivery time. The UE may report the remaining delay budget to the base station in a feedback message. Based on the feedback message, the base station may determine to adjust a transmission time for subsequent data packet transmissions to improve data packet transmission and processing reliability.

  • Patent number: 11818744
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for dynamic resource allocation, scheduling and signaling for variable data real time services (RTS) in long term evolution (LTE) systems. Preferably, changes in data rate for uplink RTS traffic are reported to an evolved Node B (eNB) by a UE using layer 1, 2 or 3 signaling. The eNB dynamically allocates physical resources in response to a change in data rate by adding or removing radio blocks currently assigned to the data flow, and the eNB signals the new resource assignment to the UE. In an alternate embodiment, tables stored at the eNB and the UE describe mappings of RTS data rates to physical resources under certain channel conditions, such that the UE uses the table to locally assign physical resources according to changes in UL data rates. Additionally, a method and apparatus for high level configuration of RTS data flows is also presented.
