  • Patent number: 11083042
Abstract: Systems and methods for multiple mode push-to-x group calls. One example embodiment provides a push-to-X server. The push-to-X server includes a communication interface communicatively coupled to a communication network and an electronic processor. The electronic processor receives, via a unicast uplink channel, a group call request from a first subscriber unit of the communication network. The electronic processor receives, from the first subscriber unit, a push-to-X data stream. The electronic processor receives a unicast channel request from a second subscriber unit of the communication network. In response to receiving the unicast channel request, the electronic processor establishes a unicast channel resource with the second subscriber unit. The electronic processor transmits the push-to-X data stream to the second subscriber unit via the unicast channel resource and transmits the push-to-X data stream to a plurality of subscriber units via a broadcast media bearer channel.

  • Patent number: 10841751
Abstract: A mobile network platform creates a device group according to a member device supporting a mobile network multicast communication manner in a Machine-to-Machine Communications (M2M) group, generates an identifier of an external group corresponding to the device group, and requests a service capability exposure function (SCEF) to create the external group according to the identifier of the external group and an external device identifier of the member device supporting the mobile network multicast communication manner. When receiving an access request for the M2M group, the mobile network platform obtains the device group in the M2M group, learns of the corresponding external group, and then requests the SCEF to access the member device in the external group in a multicast communication manner. Hence, an amount of information generated due to interaction between an M2M platform and an M2M device is reduced, while reducing resource overheads.

  • Patent number: 10516622
Abstract: A speech transmission method and apparatus include receiving at least one speech request packet sequentially sent by a terminal. Each speech request packet carries one speech data segment of the speech stream, an offset position, and a data length. The method includes generating a speech response packet corresponding to the speech request packet according to the speech request packet and other received speech request packets corresponding to the speech stream. The speech response packet carries an expected offset position and an expected data length. The method includes feeding back the speech response packet to the terminal, so that the terminal can make a determination for sending the next speech request packet according to the speech response packet.

  • Patent number: 10499409
Abstract: A wireless user equipment (UE) device obtains uplink and/or downlink grants for control and data communications from a base station in a first network and configures a secondary network link for device-to-device (D2D) communications between the UE device and another UE device operating in a second network. The secondary network link employs a spectrum resource allocated for the uplink and/or downlink grants in the first network. The UE device can comprise a first-network controller that inserts first-network control signals into a control portion of a frame, an application-layer processor that inserts user data into a data payload portion of the frame, and a second-network controller communicatively coupled to the application-layer processor that inserts second-network control signals into the data payload portion of the frame. This can allow a transmission to be processed by networks that employ different radio access network technologies.

  • Patent number: 10499283
Abstract: An example method for reducing data communications includes receiving, at a data hub, a first set of messages from a first device. Each message of the first set includes a value. The method also includes sending one or more messages of the first set to one or more devices. The method further includes receiving a second set of messages from a second device. Each message of the second set indicates whether a state change occurred in the second device for one or more values included in the first set. The method also includes computing a value interval based on the one or more values associated with the first set. Values within the value interval were indicated in the second set as causing a state change in the second device. The method further includes configuring the first device to transmit messages for values within the value interval.
