  • Patent number: 12260015
Abstract: Systems, devices, media, and methods are presented for an immersive augmented reality (AR) experience using an eyewear device. A portable eyewear device includes a processor, a memory, and a display projected onto at least one lens assembly. The memory has programming stored therein that, when executed by the processor, captures information depicting an environment surrounding the device and identifies a match between objects in that information and predetermined objects in previously obtained information for the same environment. When the position of the eyewear device reaches a preselected location with respect to the matched objects, a physical output is provided to produce the immersive experience. The physical output changes as the position of the eyewear device moves to maintain the immersive experience.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for radio frequency (RF) calibration in a multiple antenna system (MAS) with multi-user (MU) transmissions (“MU-MAS”) exploiting uplink/downlink channel reciprocity. The RF calibration is used to compute open-loop downlink precoder based on uplink channel estimates, thereby avoiding feedback overhead for channel state information as in closed-loop schemes. For example, a MU-MAS of one embodiment includes a wireless cellular network with one or multiple beacon stations, multiple client devices and multiple distributed antennas operating cooperatively via precoding methods to eliminate inter-client interference and increase network capacity.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a network protocol for view replication over an unreliable network are described herein. A sender and a receiver may apply a branching time model to the history of views to replicate the views consistently. The sender may send a first data packet to receiver. The first data packet may comprise a first sequence number identifying the first data packet, a source version number, and a first set of one or more changes to be applied to a first state identified by the source version number. Based on a determination that an acknowledgment message indicating receipt of the first data packet is not received, the sender may send a second data packet to the client device. The content of the second data packet may be determined based on the first data packet.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for flexible selection of a type of mapping to use for mapping code blocks to a set of resources for transmission. A user equipment (UE) may transmit assistance information to a base station to assist the base station in selecting from a set of mapping types available for code block mapping. The UE may then receive, from the base station, an indication of a selected mapping type for code block mapping based on the assistance information. The assistance information may include a recommendation of a mapping type or a metric of a channel that the base station may use to select the mapping type. Because the mapping type may be selected dynamically (e.g., “on the fly”), the UE and the base station may be able to adaptively exploit different types of diversity.
