The signal can be processed such that the character is identifiable. This processing can include using first and second-order statistics of the signal to determine an estimated average frequency of the signal. A table can be accessed that lists individual characters of the keypad and specific average frequency values can be associated with the individual characters. The specific average frequency value that is closest to the estimated average frequency can be identified and the character associated with this closest specific average frequency value can be appointed as the character indicated by the signal. Thus, the multi-frequency signal can be classified as communicating the appointed character.

A Bluetooth device or service corresponding to the key as a short key is detected and connected.

Abstract: An apparatus for providing confirmed OTA terminal configuration includes a processing element configured to communicate configuration data to a mobile terminal. The processing element is also configured to initiate a confirmation sequence to confirm proper receipt of the configuration data at the mobile terminal, and to receive information indicating whether the configuration data was properly received at the mobile terminal.

Abstract: The embodiments of this invention provide a speed dial method for a touch screen mobile phone. The touch screen mobile phone uses a lock screen interface and displays a floating window on top of the windows of the lock screen interface. The speed dial method includes real-time monitoring of the lock screen interface and acquisition of a click event. When the click event is a speed dial event, a phone number corresponding to the click event may be acquired at the floating window. Dial the phone number may establish a link between an opposite peer using the phone number and the user. The embodiments of this invention also provide a speed dial device for a touch screen mobile phone. The speed dial device may include: a click event acquisition module, a telephone number acquisition module, and a link establishment module. This invention enables phone calls to be made when the touch screen mobile phone is in a lock screen mode without having to unlock the screen.

Abstract: A method for setting a voice tag is provided, which comprises the following steps. First, counting a number of phone calls performed between a user and a contact person. If the number of phone calls exceeds a predetermined times or a voice dialing performed by the user is failed before calling to the contact person within a predetermined duration, the user is inquired whether or not to set a voice tag corresponding to the contact person after the phone call is complete.
