The wireless network includes an originating MSC system, a Home Location Register (HLR) system for a called party, and a serving MSC system that serves the called party. Responsive to identifying that the called party is powered off, the calling party transmits a repeat dialing instruction to the originating MSC system. The originating MSC system then transmits a repeat dialing indicator to the HLR system for the called party. The HLR system for the called party identifies when the called party powers on. When the called party does power on, the HLR system transmits an instruction to the serving MSC system to attempt to set up a call between the called party and the calling party.

Abstract: Provided are a method for switching between screens using an abbreviation key in a mobile telecommunication and a mobile telecommunication capable of switching between screens using an abbreviation key. The present invention makes it possible to read again the received short message during the time of composing a short message by pressing at least one abbreviation key, and to switch to the composing-unfinished short message to resume the composing of the short message by pressing at least one abbreviation key. The user interface is suitable for use in any device having a handheld form factor, such as a mobile phone or mobile Internet device. The user interface includes two windows that are displayed on the mobile device's screen. The mobile device may be configured to switch between a single window mode and a dual window mode. The device may also be configured to launch applications in either mode. It may be configured to switch between modes automatically or in response to a user command. The windows may also be re-oriented in response to a change in the device's orientation or to a user's command.

Abstract: A method of facilitating a telephonic response to an electronic message is described. The method includes determining at least one telephone number from a received electronic message, and assigning the determined telephone number dynamically to a button on the telephone to provide a speed dial button on the telephone. A large number of applications may be implemented to execute the action via a number of communication channels, including without limitation, a wireless communications network, a computer network, and a public switched telephone system, for example.

A device is equipped with a microphone and a plurality of logic units to analyze incoming acoustic signals in the form of Morse code.
