Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel; a sensor substrate disposed on the display panel, the sensor substrate including a touch sensing area; sensing electrodes and antenna sets, disposed on the touch sensing area of the sensor substrate; and an input sensing circuit for sensing an external input based on sensing signals from the sensing electrodes. The input sensing circuit determines whether the external input occurred on an area in which the antenna sets are disposed in the touch sensing area, based on the sensing signals.
Abstract: A method for ubiquitously covering a selected area with a single wireless communication channel. At least two wireless converters are placed at different locations to provide an aggregated wireless coverage area, the wireless converters covering wirelessly only a respective portion of a selected area with least two portions at least partially overlapping. An OFDM base station transmits a sequence of OFDM signals simultaneously via at least two distribution lines, each OFDM signal modulated by sub-carriers. The wireless converters simultaneously receive, via respective distribution lines, the OFDM signals from the OFDM base station, and up-convert a respective OFDM signal into an RF band to re-transmit wirelessly the respective OFDM signal. At least two re-transmissions of each OFDM signal arrive at a wireless client device.
Abstract: A high-power, frequency-tunable, harmonic filtering system for multiple operating frequencies includes a first SPMT switch circuitry, a second SPMT switch circuitry, and high-power, frequency-tunable harmonic filters (HFHFs). The first SPMT single-pole terminal is configured to receive a high-power RF input signal. The second SPMT single-pole terminal is configured to output a high-power RF output signal. Each of the HFHFs is connected to a respective one of the first SPMT multi-throw terminals and a respective one of the second SPMT multi-throw terminals. Each of the HFHFs is interposed between the respective first and second multi-throw terminals along a respective RF signal pathway between them. Each operating frequency is associated with one of the HFHFs. The respective operating frequency is associated with one of multiple cutoff frequencies of the respective HFHF.
Abstract: The invention describes a system for testing antenna-in-package (AiP) modules and a method for using the same. Firstly, AiP modules respectively receive RF signals from a testing transmitting antenna. Then, at least one of the power and the phase of each of the RF signals is adjusted to generate modulated RF amplified signals as recognition tags with difference. The RF amplified signals are received from each control integrated circuit (IC) and the power of the modulated RF amplified signals is summed to generate a net mixed test signal. Finally, the test signal is received and RF properties corresponding to at least one of the power and the phase of each of the RF amplified signals as recognition tags are obtained. The method can simultaneously test a plurality of AiP modules to shorten the test time.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for an improved tracking area update(TAU) procedure for minimizing service interruptions for wireless devices. In embodiments herein, wireless devices set a delay timer upon experiencing a triggering event. Upon termination of the triggering event, the wireless devices are able to complete the TAU procedure if the delay timer has not yet expired.
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques implemented partly by a communications service for identifying and altering undesirable portions of communication data, such as audio data and video data, from a communication session between computing devices. For example, the communications service may monitor the communications session to alter or remove undesirable audio data, such as a dog barking, a doorbell ringing, etc., and/or video data, such as rude gestures, inappropriate facial expressions, etc. The communications service may stream the communication data for the communication session partly through managed servers and analyze the communication data to detect undesirable portions. The communications service may alter or remove the portions of communication data received from a first user device, such as by filtering, refraining from transmitting, or modifying the undesirable portions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring of icon in an external display device are disclosed. Images of an icon displayed in a display device may be continually captured as video frames by a video camera of an icon monitoring system. While operating in a first mode, video frames may be continually analyzed to determine if the captured image matches an active template icon known to match the captured image of the icon. While the captured image matches the active template icon, operating in the first mode continues. Upon detecting a failed match to the active template icon, the system starts operating in a second to search among known template icons for a new match. Upon finding a new match, the active template icon may be updated to the new match, and operation switches back to the first mode. Times of transitions between the first and second modes may be recorded.

Abstract: A control system for a screen of a vehicle includes a global positioning system (GPS), an inertia sensor and a control circuit. The GPS detects a satellite signal from a satellite. The inertia sensor senses motion of the vehicle and correspondingly generates a motion state value. The control circuit performs one of a first determination procedure and a second determination procedure according to the state of the satellite signal. In the first determination procedure, the control circuit calculates the vehicle speed of the vehicle according to the satellite signal, and selectively locks the screen of the vehicle according to the vehicle speed. In the second determination procedure, the control circuit generates a motion signal according to the motion state value, and selectively locks the screen of the vehicle according to the motion signal. Accordingly, driving safety can still be effectively ensured even in the case of poor satellite signals.

A computing hub in a wireless network may determine a data communication schedule for a device in the wireless network. Abstract: A voice-activated encoding method includes determining a voice power parameter based on a frequency domain representation of a voice signal from a voice microphone. The method includes determining an ambient power parameter based on a frequency domain representation of at least one ambient signal from at least one ambient microphone spaced from the voice microphone. The method also includes enabling encoding of an audio signal based on the voice signal in response to comparing the power parameters and a threshold value. A headset including a controller may use the method to determine whether to enable or disable encoding, transmission, or both of an audio signal to another device.

Abstract: An individual tracking and communication system and method is presented herein. The system and method includes a wearable device adapted to be worn by a user and a caregiver device operated by a caregiver. The wearable device and caregiver device are paired to one another by being assigned to the same group via a management dashboard, and thereby allowing for communications to occur there between. The wearable device is configured to initiate and receive voice communications with the caregiver device, and to automatically initiate a communication with an emergency service if an attempt to initiate a voice communication with the caregiver device fails.
Abstract: Integrity protection is activated for user plane data transferred between a network node and a terminal device of the cellular communications network. The activation can be initiated by the terminal device sending a request message to a second network node. Thus, a UE, such as a Cellular IoT UE, and a network node such as a SGSN are able to use LLC layer integrity protection for both control plane and user plane data.

Abstract: The present disclosure includes a method and apparatus for sensor assisted beam selection. A method for sensor assisted beam selection includes receiving an input from a sensor indicating a presence of an obstacle proximate to the sensor. The method further includes identifying an antenna module proximate to the sensor. The method further includes deactivating at least a portion of the identified antenna module based on the input from the sensor.
Abstract: A wireless doorsill plate with changeable display information and power-saving mechanism includes a baseplate, a battery module, a radio frequency module, a display module and an energy-saving module. A circuit board is provided on the baseplate, the battery module is disposed on the baseplate and electrically connected to the circuit board, and the battery module is used to generate an electric power. The radio frequency module is disposed on the circuit board and used to receive an activation signal to generate a wireless signal. The display module is assembled on the circuit board and has a backlight unit connected to the battery module. The energy-saving module is disposed on the circuit board and electrically connected to the battery module. According to the wireless signal the energy-saving module reduces the electric power generated by the battery module in order to turn on the backlight unit.

Abstract: Disclosed is a secure in-person dating and socializing platform. The platform may perform a check-in of a first user at a particular event based on messaging from a first device of the first user. The first device may receive messages from other devices of other users at the particular event that have previously checked-in to the particular event. Each message may provide a status for a different one of the other users. The first device may determine a location of each of the other devices based on signaling characteristics associated with receiving each message, may determine an area falling within a field-of-view of the first device camera, and may provide an augmented reality presentation of the camera feed with a visual indicator for the status of a second user at a particular location in the field-of-view that maps to the location of a second device of the second user.
Abstract: A method of tracking a mobile device comprising at least one camera in a real environment comprises the steps of receiving image information associated with at least one image captured by the at least one camera, generating a first geometrical model of at least part of the real environment based on environmental data or mobile system state data acquired in an acquisition process by at least one sensor of a mobile system, which is different from the mobile device, and performing a tracking process based on the image information associated with the at least one image and at least partially according to the first geometrical model, wherein the tracking process determines at least one parameter of a pose of the mobile device relative to the real environment. The invention is also related to a method of generating a geometrical model of at least part of a real environment using image information from at least one camera of a mobile device.
Abstract: This disclosure provides mechanisms for User Equipment, UE, capability signaling and coordination for Long Term Evolution (LTE) and New Radio (NR) tight-interworking without increasing the complexity of LTE capability reporting. This disclosure proposes a capability signaling and coordination framework in order to coordinate at least band combinations and Layer 2 buffer capabilities across the master and the secondary nodes which are of different Radio Access Technologies (RATs), such as LTE and NR.
Abstract: Systems and method are provided for canceling unwanted transmitter-to-receiver leakage in a coherent wireless system using a feedforward waveform that overcomes the limitations of purely analog or purely digital cancelation systems and methods. Systems and methods in accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure generate a software-defined waveform that, when fed forward into the receiver, effectively cancels the leakage. Embodiments of the present disclosure can use a defined cancelation waveform (e.g., a software-defined cancelation waveform) that can cancel multiple leakage paths at the same time.

Abstract: Operation methods of a first communication node in a network, in particular, an Ethernet-based vehicle network, include: transmitting, by the first communication node to at least one communication node which is connected to the first communication node, a first frame requesting state information of a physical layer between the first communication node and the at least one communication node; receiving, by the first communication node from the at least one communication node, a second frame in response to the first frame; and identifying, by the first communication node, a state of the physical layer based on the second frame when the second frame is received.
