  • Patent number: 8208980
Abstract: An advanced antenna or set of antennae for a wireless device is provided by embedding the antennae into the battery case or generally the largest surface area of a wireless phone. The antenna connections are made through the battery's connections to the wireless device. The antenna design can be compact and located in any area of the battery. The antenna design can be thin and flat, located at the back surface of the battery or the large rear surface of a wireless phone, facing away from the user. An RF shielding device can be embedded into the battery and configured in relation to the antenna such that the RF field intensity and the consequent specific absorption rate for the user is lowered while the outgoing signals of the wireless device remain fully adequate for the function of the wireless device. This feature is preserved for a multi-band operation because a digital phase shifter is used between two radiating antennae.

Abstract: A portable audio device having reduced sensitivity to RF interference over a predetermined frequency range from an adjacent mobile wireless communications device may include a portable housing, a battery carried thereby, a recharging power input connected to the battery, a digital signal input, and an audio analog signal output. A digital-to-analog converter (DAC) may be carried by the portable housing and powered by the battery for converting a selected digital audio file from a memory into an analog audio signal. An audio analog amplifier may be connected between the DAC and the audio analog signal output. A first RF filter(s) may be connected to the recharging power input, and a second RF filter(s) may be connected to the audio analog signal output, both for reducing RF interference over the predetermined frequency range from the adjacent mobile wireless communications device.

Abstract: In a mobile phone, a vibrator 102 having two power supply terminals of a first terminal a and a second terminal b is arranged on a substrate 101. The vibrator 102 is one of essential electronic components which informs the user of an incoming call and the like during manner mode. The first terminal a of the vibrator 102 is connected to a control circuit unit 109 via a first wiring a103, a coil a104 and a second wiring a105. In addition, the second terminal b of the vibrator 102 is connected to the control circuit unit 109 via a first wiring b106, a coil b107 and a second wiring b108. A capacitor b111 is connected between the first wiring a103 and the first wiring b106. One end of an antenna sub-element 112 is connected to the first wiring a103 via a capacitor a110. The other end of the antenna sub-element 112 is connected to a radio circuit unit 114 via a matching circuit 113. An antenna unit 115 including the radio circuit unit 114 and the antenna sub-element 112 operates at a frequency ?2.
