Abstract: A waterproof container is adapted for an electronic device with a touch screen. The waterproof container includes an upper component and a lower component. The upper component includes a first layer, a second layer and a third layer. The second layer is disposed between the first layer and the third layer. A second touched part of the second layer is connected to a first touched part of the first layer by a plurality of first connections. The second touched part of the second layer is connected to a third touched part of the third layer by a plurality of second connections, and the plurality of first connections and the plurality of second connections are staggered relative to each other. The lower component is connected to the upper component. An accommodating space is enclosed by the lower component and the upper component for accommodating the electronic device.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a mount featuring one or more sets of embedded magnets which are designed to engage with complimentary sets of magnets disposed either in a protective case for use with the mount, or in a mobile device contained within such a protective case. The mount includes a pin which is magnetically actuated to extend into a hole disposed in the protective case when the case and the mount are brought within a prescribed distance. Thus, the case and the mount “snap together” and are restrained from sliding relative to one another by the pin.

Abstract: This application relates to improving kinematics in a computing device such as a laptop computer. A magnetic latch mechanism includes a magnetic array and an attractor plate. The magnetic array is secured in a top portion of the laptop computer and the attractor plate is secured in a base portion of the laptop computer. An attractive force of the magnetic latch mechanism is calibrated by selectively demagnetizing a portion of one or more magnetic elements in the magnetic array to reduce the attractive force proximate a target force. The calibration technique can include exciting a demagnetizing element, such as a pair of conductive coils, with a short, high frequency demagnetization pulse to create a demagnetized zone within the magnetic array that is completely demagnetized, irrespective of unit to unit variations of magnetic properties in the initially magnetized magnetic array. This technique ensures an accurate kinematic user experience.

Abstract: A mobile telephone case that includes a housing structured to receive a mobile telephone, the housing includes a perimeter frame disposed about a perimeter of the mobile telephone to substantially cover and protect the mobile telephone, an at least partially open front face to provide access to a display screen of the mobile telephone, and a protective rear panel that is at least partially movable between an open orientation and a closed orientation when the housing is operatively disposed on the mobile telephone. The cover section includes a first and second segment rotationally coupled together. To further adjust the electronic device, the first segment remains coupled to the electronic device, allowing the first segment and the electronic device to rotate relative to the second segment. The cover section can then suspend the electronic device over the keyboard section, and the electronic device does not contact the keyboard section.

In some embodiments, the mobile device cover may include, for example, an acoustic sensor, a processor, and lighting devices. Abstract: A case for a mobile device includes a flexible covering defining a cavity for receiving and holding the mobile device; a rigid frame at least partially disposed within the flexible covering; and an adapter disposed at least partially within the rigid frame and the flexible covering, the adapter including first contacts, a male plug extending into the cavity, and second contacts disposed on the male plug and electrically coupled to the first contacts; where the adapter, in combination with at least one of the flexible covering or the rigid frame, defines a first male structure extending away from the cavity, where the first contacts of the adapter are disposed on the first male structure. Another case includes at least the flexible covering and adapter and also includes a female connector electrically coupled to the second contacts and having an opening disposed on the first male structure.

Abstract: An attachment module, having a fixing mechanism, couples detachably with a mobile device, thereby enabling a user to carry the module attached or detached from the mobile device. In at least one embodiment, the fixing mechanism includes an adhesive portion that binds the module to the mobile device. In at least one embodiment, the module holds a pair of wireless earphone to the mobile device in a position where the earphone speaker portion is generally positioned in line with the depth of the mobile device, thereby only minimally adding to the depth of the combined unit. In at least one embodiment, the module may be equipped with wired or wireless charging to charge its battery or that of the mobile device.
