The first compartment is configured to receive the portable electronic device; the second compartment is configured to receive a card. The cover is configured to cover the second compartment.

Abstract: A cell phone protector case including a front cavity to retain a cell phone. It further includes a rear recessed cavity having a recessed rear wall surrounded by a circumferential rim including a first sidewall, a second sidewall, a first width-wise wall and a second width-wise wall, the recessed rear wall having a width-wise dimension and a lengthwise dimension and extends for a depth “below the tops of the respective lengthwise sidewalls and the width-wise walls. A key unique feature is the inclusion of a sheet of drawing, sketching or artwork paper having a front surface and a rear surface dimensioned to fit within the rear recessed cavity and retained by the rear sidewalls and rear width-wise walls.

Abstract: A case for enclosing and remaining attached to a tablet-computing device may include a rigid inner portion and an outer portion attached thereto. The case may be customized to accommodate a particular kind or type of tablet-computing device and may include an aperture aligned within the case to accommodate a feature of the inserted tablet-computing device. The case may be configured to elevate a tablet-computing device to an angled position relative to a planar position and/or maintain the tablet-computing device in the angled position. In some embodiments, the rigid inner portion may be removable from the case.

Abstract: Example methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable storage media are provided to monitor a mobile device. An example method includes determining whether acceleration data collected by an acceleration sensor of a mobile electronic device satisfies a threshold associated with the acceleration data, and when the acceleration data satisfies the threshold, swelling a component of the mobile electronic device to absorb shock from the mobile electronic device impacting a surface.

Abstract: A radiation passing layer has a top surface and a bottom surface below which a proximity sensor is positioned. A visible light opaque layer covers the bottom surface of the radiation passing layer except for an opening therein that allows radiation from the emitter to pass, and scattered radiation to pass to the detector. A radiation shield is between the emitter and the detector, and extends to the bottom of the radiation passing layer. A cold mirror is between the shield and the bottom surface of the radiation passing layer, covering the opening in the opaque layer. A radiation absorber being a separate piece and a different material than the shield provides a radiation seal between the top surface of the shield and the bottom surface of the cold mirror. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

Abstract: An apparatus and a system for housing a device are described. The apparatus includes a housing that is configured such that a device may be fitted within the housing and thereby be protected, such as from shocks and/or liquid. The housing may include top and bottom members that may be removably coupled together so as to form the housing. Each top and bottom member includes a perimeter portion. The perimeter is defined by proximal and distal ends as well as opposing sides. The top and bottom members may include respective clasping mechanisms that extend along the perimeter of the top and bottom members and may be configured for engaging a third clasping mechanism, such as a locking comb or wedge feature. The clasping mechanisms are configured for coupling the top and bottom members with one another thereby sealing the housing, for instance, in a shock-proof and/or water tight seal.

Abstract: A cellular phone case accessory device is disclosed. The case is attached to a cell phone and includes an upper section and a lower section sized to correspond with a cellular phone and to receive the phone in one of the sections. The upper section and lower section are attached by a hinge that enables pivotal movement of the upper and lower sections with respect to each other. Situated within the space defined between the upper and lower sections is a pocket or storage compartment where credit cards, cash, ID and other items may be stored safely. A mirror is also disposed between the upper and lower sections and usable when the upper and lower sections are pivotally disposed in an open position. Another embodiment includes a cell phone holding compartment comprised of two portions removably attached to one another for inserting and retaining a cell phone therein.

Abstract: A size-adaptive mobile device cover has a protection cover with two cover boards and multiple angle holders detachably mounted inside the protection cover. The protection cover serves to carry a mobile device. Each angle holder has two holding sections. A movable fixing portion is detachably mounted on an outer side of one of the holding sections, and is detachably combined with another movable fixing portion on an inner side of one of the cover boards. A holding slot is formed between the two holding sections of each angle holder for holding one corner of the mobile device. As the angle holders can be selectively and detachably mounted on the cover board to hold corners of a mobile device, the size-adaptive mobile device is applicable to mobile devices of various sizes.

Abstract: A smart case configured to encapsulate a mobile communication device. The smart case includes a radio embedded in the case for selectively enabling the encapsulated mobile communication device to communicate over a wireless network using either the radio embedded in the case or the Wi-Fi and/or cellular radio in the communication device itself. In alternative embodiments, either a hard switch, a soft switch, or both, is provided for switching between either the radios(s) embedded in the smart case or the internal radio(s) in the mobile communication device.

Abstract: An improved mobile phone case structure capable of standing, clamping and coiling, including a case. The case is to cover the back side of a mobile phone. And the surface of the case is configured with a rectangular opening. Inside the rectangular opening, a frame is embedded. One side of the frame is pivoted with the rectangular opening, while the other side of the frame is pivoted with a coiling plate. When unfolded, the frame forms a support for the case to stand. The coiling plate has an arc design. When unfolded, the frame can be clamped comfortably by two fingers, and can provide a function to neatly coil and fix the earphone. When not used, the coiling plate can be in flat contact with the back side of the mobile phone. The unique combination of frame and coiling plate designed by the present invention integrates multiple functions and is therefore a valuable innovation.

The rear cover includes a recessed portion that defines a chamber and a lip portion. The chamber is configured to receive a consumer electronic device, and the lip portion is configured to hold the consumer electronic device therein by an interference fit that exposes substantially all of a display portion of the consumer electronic product. The front flap can include segments formed from panels with folding regions therebetween, which allow the front flap to fold. Further, an end region of the front flap pivotally couples the front flap to the rear cover, such that the front flap may be moved between open and closed configurations. The front may include magnetic elements.

When a portion of the yielding layer corresponding to the hole is pressed, the portion of the yielding layer is elastically deformed to closely lean on the back portion, and the locked body and rigid layer are released due to a force between the portion of the yielding layer and the back portion, such that the back cover may depart from the body.

Abstract: Provided herein are new apparatus and methods relating to the protective covering of remote speaker microphones of two-way radio systems, including radio systems used and worn by emergency response personnel in extreme environments such as structure fires, among others. The apparatus and methods eliminate or reduce the accumulation of water, dust, and debris, thereby reducing or eliminating garbled communications from the user that would otherwise result from the blocking of sound to the microphone by water, dust, or debris. The ejecting mechanism includes an ejecting member. The bar portion selectively presses the ejecting member. When the button is pressed, the hook is disengaged from the latching groove, the bar portion presses the ejecting member to force the ejecting member to eject the battery cover.

Abstract: A housing 10 provided in a portable terminal device according to the present invention includes a plurality of stacked carbon fiber layers 21 to 24. Further, the direction of carbon fibers of the carbon fiber layer 21 disposed on the outermost side of the housing 10 among the plurality of carbon fiber layers 21 to 24 is conformed to the longitudinal direction d1 of the housing. The carbon composite material has such properties that the thermal conductivity is high and the strength is large along the direction of the carbon fibers. Therefore, with this configuration, heat can be preferentially diffused in the longitudinal direction d1 of the housing 10 and the strength in the longitudinal direction of the housing 10 can be improved.

The formfitting phone case is used to enclose the cellular phone and has holes that allow a user to access the cellular phone's controls. The mirror is mounted within the wallet but is readily available to the user. The handle is connected adjacent to the formfitting phone case so that the user can carry the apparatus and can properly orient the apparatus while operating the cellular phone.

Abstract: A waterproof portable electronic device without a connecting hole includes a portable main body and at least one induction coil. The portable main body is completely sealed and does not have any exterior connecting hole. The portable main body includes a control circuit therein. The induction coil is disposed in the portable main body and electrically connected with the control circuit. Thereby, the induction coil of the waterproof portable electronic device cooperates with an induction coil of an external charging device or an external access device to transmit power and/or data through the way of electromagnetic induction, without arrangement of connecting ports. The portable main body is completely sealed and does not have any exterior connecting hole to achieve waterproof and dust proof effects.

Abstract: A circuit board in a mobile electronic device has a microphone and related amplifier and signal conditioning circuitry mounted thereon. A radio frequency (RF) shield surrounds and isolates the microphone from electromagnetic interference (EMI). The RF shield together with the circuit board forms an acoustic chamber surrounding the microphone. A hole in the RF shield permits acoustic energy to enter the acoustic chamber and reach the microphone.

Abstract: A combination cellular phone and personal defense system for providing both a means of communication along with a means of self-defense in one unit. Provided is a detachably connectable protective case for a cellular phone, which when the cell phone is connected to the protective case, the combination cell phone and protective case is converted into a personal defense system with cell phone maintaining substantially all of its functionality. One embodiment relates to smart cellular phones and more particularly pertains to a new combination protective case for cellular phone which, when detachably connected to a cell provide, includes a personal defense system and phone system in one unit. In one embodiment the detachably connectable protective case with integrated self defense system which can be interchangeable with other cell phones of the same or similar designs.
