  • Patent number: 10503391
Abstract: A device, system and method for correcting operational device errors is provided. A memory stores first operational data associated with first context data and a first device, the first operational data indicative of how a given user action is performed at the first device to implement a given function defined by the first context data. A controller receives data indicative of a user action at a second device; when the data does not correspond to a respective function at the second device, and when current context data of the second device corresponds to the first context data of the first device, an intended function for the user action is identified by comparing the data with the first operational data. When a correspondence occurs, operational information indicative of how to implement the given function at the second device is retrieved and provided at one or more notification devices.

  • Patent number: 10096146
Abstract: Computer animation tools for viewing, in multiple contexts, the effect of changes to a computer animation are disclosed. An artist configures multiple visual displays in the user interface of a computer animation system. A visual display shows one or more frames of computer animation. An artist configures a visual display to reflect a specific context. For example, the artist may assign a particular virtual viewpoint of a scene to a particular visual display. Once visual displays are configured, the artist changes a configuration of the computer animation. For example, the artist may change the lighting parameters of a scene. In response, the visual displays show the visual effects of the configuration (e.g., lighting parameters) change under corresponding contexts (e.g., different virtual camera viewpoints). Using multiple visual displays, which may be displayed side-by-side, an artist can view the effects of her configuration changes in the various contexts.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for combined ergonomic support and situational sensory augmentation interface during an interactive session within a virtual environment generated by a computer system. The apparatus comprises a resilient body defining a mid portion extending laterally between a pair of side portions projecting transversely outward therefrom to terminate at respective free ends. The mid portion extends across a lap of a user. The mid and side portions collectively define an upper surface for hand and forearm support for the user and an inner side surface contoured about a cradle space for receiving a torso of the user in cradling manner. At least one actuator disposed on the resilient body is selectively driven in cooperation with the interactive session to generate tactile feedback to the user through at least one of the upper and inner side surfaces of the resilient body.

  • Patent number: 8882613
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and a method for gathering ball game data and in particular tennis match data in real time. To this end the system comprises a hands-free voice receiving means (4) adapted to receive words spoken by the player (2) wearing the receiving means. The words are then analyzed by an analyzing means adapted to analyze a dedicated ball game vocabulary used by the player. The analysis of the spoken words translates these words into digital match data. This data can be displayed, at least as score of the game by a display (10). More elaborate match data information can be gathered. Such data may be fed to an expert system giving back advice to the player.
