Including Means To Receive Radially Spaced Axially Extending Projection On Drive And Driven Members Patents (Class 464/93)
  • Patent number: 4380442
Abstract: A rotary flexible coupling has two interleaved sets of input and output driver blocks connected to input and output flanges, respectively. First and second tires of inelastic material are spaced radially inwardly and radially outwardly from the blocks. Each block is connected to each tire by a cylindrical segment of a cylindrical layer of elastomeric material and torque is transmitted from the input blocks to the output blocks via the elastomeric layers and the tires.

  • Patent number: 4335586
Abstract: A disc is centered and secured on a shaft by means of flexible webs which extend parallel to the shaft and lie against the inner surface of a central aperture in the disc, and by radially extending tongues fixed to the shaft and entering into corresponding radial slots in the disc. As the assembly rotates, the webs are urged outwards by centrifugal force, to apply a radial compression force to the material of the disc.

  • Patent number: 4331004
Abstract: A coupling for uniformly transmitting torque from a first shaft to a second shaft while accommodating angular and/or axial misalignment between the axes of said first and second shafts. The coupling comprises a first annular member adapted to be fixed to the first shaft, a second annular member adapted to be fixed to the second shaft, a third intermediate member including an annular portion disposed between the first and second annular members and first and second pairs of elongated generally parallel arm portions operatively associated with the first and second annular members respectively.
