Abstract: A versatile, functional training device of substantially elliptical shape and comprising a fluid weight that employs principles of unstable resistance as a means of increasing balance, stability, overall strength, core strength and proprioception while increasing lean muscle mass and burning calories. During operation, a user moves the device through a regimen of individualized movements, and the fluid weight moves and shifts inside the device, creating a instability at a point of resistance. The device comprises D-shaped handles with finger grooves adapted for maneuverability. The handles also may be filled with fluid to increase the weight and adaptability of the device across multiple activities and physical regimens. Measuring scales are provided on the device to measure the amount of fluid added to or removed from the device. The device may be transparent or translucent, and the fluid weight may be tinted to aid in visibility.

Each of the weight devices is adjustable in a radial direction thereof that the weight devices may eccentrically rotate. The dumbbell further includes two pairs of covers to hold the weight devices and the wheels respectively. Therefore, user may get an extra loading because of the eccentric rotation of the weight devices when he/she shakes the dumbbell. The dumbbell may be used as a roller to train abdominal muscles while the wheels serve the function of rollers.

Abstract: A dumbbell having adjustable inertial resistance load in the field of athletic sports devices is disclosed. The structure of the present invention is characterized in that the hand grip of the dumbbell is provided inside with a rotatable main shaft, the two swing hammer rods and the swing hammers at both ends of the main shaft constitute a normal pendulum, and the two pendulums at both ends of the main shaft are connected through the main shaft, so as to be functionally combined into the function of one eccentric pendulum. The main shaft, the two swing hammer shafts and the swing hammers constitute an eccentric pendulum. The two pendulums fixed at both ends of the main shaft may be adjusted at different angles. In case the angle between the two pendulums is zero degree, upon the rotation of the pendulums, the forces between the hand grip and the hand, besides the mutual force in the up-and-down direction, also include the periodic inertial force in the fore-and-aft direction.

Abstract: A shoulder and rotator cuff exercise device that includes: a circular tube; a plurality of weighted balls within the tube; a hand bar with a hand grip, where the hand bar extends across the inner diameter of the tube, said hand bar including two sliding end points; and movement control mechanisms which engage the two sliding end points and limit the radial movement of the sliding end points. The shoulder and rotator cuff exercise device also may include an opening on the inner diameter of the circular tube, where the opening allows the insertion of weighted balls into the tube. In one particular embodiment, the circular tube may include handgrips on an outer surface of the tube. The plurality of weighted balls used with the device may vary in weight and thus the composite weight of the plurality of weighted balls may vary as desired by the user.

The weight unit includes a connecting block mounted on the cord, and a weighting block mounted on the connecting block. The connecting block has a flexible tapered mounting post and has a mounting hole. The weighting block has a tapered pressing hole pressing the mounting post. Thus, the mounting hole of the connecting block encircles the cord completely so that when the mounting post is pressed toward the cord by the pressing hole of the weighting block, the connecting block compresses the cord tightly so as to lock the weight unit on the cord of the main body.

Abstract: An adjustable inertial exercise device has an elongate member with first and second threaded portions with opposite-handed threads. First and second nuts, each having at least one radial flange, are respectively rotatably engaged with the first and second threaded portions of the elongate member. A sleeve is slidably mounted over the first and second nuts. The sleeve has an internal bore with first and second bearings and at least one longitudinal groove slidably engaged with the radial flanges of the first and second nuts. Elastic resistance elements interface between the first and second nuts and the first and second bearings. Rotation of the elongate member relative to the sleeve one direction causes the nuts to move apart from one another compress the resistance elements. Rotation of the elongate member relative to the sleeve in the opposite direction causes the nuts to move toward one another and expand the resistance elements.
