  • Patent number: 11311769
Abstract: An auxiliary weight adjusting device for weight training equipment includes a selector device and auxiliary weight pieces. The selector member of the selector device is provided with positioning portions and rotatably installed on the main weight device of the weight training equipment. The selector device has positioning members arranged on the selection member in a manner of moving in a horizontal direction and corresponding to the positioning portions. The auxiliary weight pieces are adjacent to the main weight device by moving up and down in the vertical direction and correspond to the positioning members and arranged in a straight line or an array in the horizontal direction. The rotation of the selection member makes the positioning portions drive the positioning members to extend toward the auxiliary weight pieces, so that different numbers of auxiliary weight pieces move with the main weight device.

  • Patent number: 9162102
Abstract: A means and method for automatically selecting an amount of weight to be connected to a cable system in a fitness machine. When a dial is rotated to select a weight, a connected computer receives the rotational position information, operates a program to determine the amount of each weight to attach to the cable system and actuates solenoids accordingly to attach the weight to the cable by inserting pins fully into weight stacks to connect weights to a rod connected to a cable. The computer also displays the selected weight on the dial. When the new weight is selected, one or more retracting solenoids draw any inserted pins partially out before any new pins are fully inserted to connect the weights to the rod. This ensures that the system is cleared before attaching any weights to the cable.

When the movable part moves along the rail, the pivotal member is pivoted to decide the engagement between the pin and the through hole so that the user can adjust the number of the weights.

Abstract: An exercise apparatus comprises an incremental weight system. The incremental weight system comprises an incremental weight and an incremental weight selector. The incremental weight selector is liftable by a weight lift and has a lever movable between a lowered position and a raised position to actuate the selector between an engaged position engaging the incremental weight such that the incremental weight is liftable with a first weight by the weight lift and a disengaged position disengaged from the incremental weight such that the first weight is liftable independent of the incremental weight.

Abstract: An exercise system utilizes exercise apparatus having at least two operative positions, a first operative position with a base fixedly contacting a floor, and a second operative position with the base spaced apart from the floor and horizontally moveable over the floor in any desired direction of travel. When a barbell is mounted at rest on the exercise apparatus the apparatus is in the first operative position. When the barbell is disengaged from the at rest position, the exercise apparatus moves to the second operative position.

  • Patent number: 8708870
Abstract: A weight plate for use with physical fitness weightlifting equipment so that the weight plate may be coupled to other weight plates and lifted together in a stack. Each weight plate includes a pivotal switch arm including a first end at which to receive a pushing force to cause the switch arm to rotate relative to the weight plate and an opposite end at which a curved fork is carried. In one embodiment, a center post runs continuously through the center bore holes of the weight plates. In another embodiment, an insert is located in the center bore hole of each weight plate to be mated to the insert from an adjacent plate. When the pivotal switch arm of any weight plate is rotated to a locked position, the curved fork is rotated with the switch arm into surrounding engagement with the center post or the insert.
