Abstract: A door system includes a doorframe having opposing vertical jambs, a door pivotably coupled to the doorframe, a threshold extending between the opposing vertical jambs and providing an upper surface that defines a valley, and a dam removably mountable to the threshold at the valley. A valley seal interposes the dam and the threshold at the valley when the dam is mounted to the threshold and thereby generates a sealed interface between the dam and the threshold.
Abstract: A vehicle door opening and closing apparatus includes: a vehicle door; a rail mounted on a vehicle body; and a roller unit mounted on the vehicle door, and configured to move along the rail, where the roller unit allows the vehicle door to open and close in either a sliding mode, in which the vehicle door slides along the rail, or a swing mode, in which the vehicle door swings in a predetermined position of the rail.

Abstract: A sliding assistance mechanism for helping a switching operation of a moving body on a main body side, includes a case attached to the main body side; first and second moving members slidably placed in the case, respectively; a pair of latches pivotally supported at each moving member, respectively, and releasably locked to corresponding parts of a case side; an urging device provided between both moving members; and a guide groove provided in the case for moving the latches along the same; and first and second operational members spaced apart from each other and provided in the moving body. When the moving members are at a halfway position, an engagement of one of the latches with the second operational member provided in the second moving member is released, and the moving body is pulled by the urging device to the second position.
Abstract: A system and methods for controlling operation of hydraulic cylinders includes monitoring position of the cylinders relative to one another, and correction of misalignment of the cylinders should they become misaligned. Further, monitoring can be of a swing-type door operated using the cylinders, which can operate the door at different speeds. Further, as the door creeps open from a closed position or closed from an open position, correction is also made.

Abstract: A door opening and closing device for a slide door, which can be horizontally open and close the slide door by application of a light load and which can be constructed and maintained at low costs. The door opening and closing device has a transmission mechanism for converting through a lever (31) the amount of settlement of a tread plate (21) placed on floor surfaces at positions in front and back of the slide door (12), into a predetermined displacement amount. The tread plate (21) is weight-wise balanced such that the transmission mechanism and settlement of the tread plate due to the weight of an adjustment weight (W) causes the tread plate (21) to float through the lever (31). Up-down movement of the long transmission member (32) presses a drive rotation body (42) to an open door rail (41), and a component force of the pressing force allows the slide door (12) to be opened by application of a light load.
Abstract: A door chucking system includes a slidable door movable within a door opening and having a distal edge, the door being operable between opened and closed positions. A vertical column is proximate the distal edge of the door when the door is in the closed position. A chucking wedge is disposed on one of the vertical column and the distal edge, the chucking wedge including a retaining slot and a retaining flange. A receiver is disposed on the other of the vertical column and the distal edge, the receiver including a rigid tab, wherein the receiver receives a portion of the chucking wedge therein when the door is in the closed position, and wherein application of a force that is at least partially transverse to the planar extent of the door causes the rigid tab and the retaining slot to engage thereby preventing the door from leaving the closed position.

Abstract: An operating mechanism which can be used on a right or left opening casement window, includes a crank arm having one end for rotatable connection to one bottom corner of a bottom sash, a row of teeth extending around a major portion of the other end of the crank arm, a worm for rotating the crank arm, and a handle for rotating the worm. By turning the crank arm so that one end of the row of teeth meshes with the worm and connecting the free end of the arm to the appropriate corner of a sash in the open or closed position, the mechanism can be adjusted for a right or left opening window.

Abstract: A hatch assembly having a hatch cover biased to a normally closed position. The hatch cover is connected to an impeller contained and rotatable within a impeller chamber of a housing. When the cover is to be opened, pressurized gas is introduced into the housing causing rotation of the impeller. By virtue of the coupling of the impeller to the hatch cover, the rotation causes the hatch cover to open. After opening, the hatch cover may thereafter be closed by a spring bias forming part of the coupling arrangement.

Abstract: An electric swinging gate assembly comprises a gate section hingably mounted onto a vertical post of the fence. An electric motor having a horizontal drive shaft is mounted onto the gate section, wherein a first pulley member is mounted on the free end of the horizontal drive shaft. A second pulley member and a large wheel are mounted on a horizontal axle rod, wherein the ends of the rod are rotatably contained in bearing assembly mounted on the bottom ends of vertical bars of the gate section. The large wheel engages the ground such that the electric motor causes the wheel to rotate, wherein the gate section can be swung open or closed. Alternatively, an end vertical rod of the gate section can be rotatably mounted in bearing assemblies communicating with the vertical end post of the fence. An electrical motor having a vertical drive shaft is mounted on the fence.
