  • Publication number: 20030024166
Abstract: A window regulator for a door is provided that includes a portion that defines a helical path. A drive assembly includes an actuator couple to a cable for moving the window along the helical path. A single guide having opposing channels extends longitudinally and defines a drive path, which may be straight. A lift plate is movable along the guide for supporting the window, and the cable is connected to the lift plate for moving the lift plate along the guide. A slider, preferably two, is received in the opposing channels with a ball and socket connection between the lift plate and the slider. The ball and socket permits relative movement between the lift plate and the guide such that the window may travel in the helical path as the sliders move in the straight drive path.

Abstract: A vehicle door window-lift comprises a guide rail for a slider supporting a window capable of being driven by a cable and a dowel pin for automatically fixing the slider on the window. The dowel pin is adapted to slide in a bore in the slider and in a hole in the window. Two ramps on the guide rail cause the dowel pin to slide automatically from a delivery position wherein it is not inserted in the hole, into an operative position wherein it penetrates in the window hole and locks the slider on the window. The two ramps are inclined relative to an axis of the dowel pin such that when the slider moves along the rail, the slider causes the dowel pin to be thrust by one of the ramps from its delivery position towards its operative position wherein it penetrates into the window hole and locks the slider on the window. The arrangement avoids providing locking by deformation of a plastic part.

  • Patent number: 5367827
Abstract: A power window device in which a drive pulley around which a wire to open and close a window is wound is disposed within a case of a power window drive section and a wire guide for guiding the wire is mounted on the case. The wire guide is composed of a first wire guide for guiding one end of the wire and a second wire guide for guiding the other end of the wire. The second wire guide is removably coupled to the first wire guide. A wire guide angle .theta..sub.0 between the wire guides can be changed merely by exchanging the second wire guide. Even when a different wire guide angle is required, the size of the component to be replaced can be reduced, as can the cost to manufacture.

  • Patent number: 5263282
Abstract: The window glass for a vehicle door is mounted at its lower edge in an elongated sash. The glass is raised and lowered by a regulator attached to the sash. A pair of guides (pulleys or slides) are fixed to each end of the sash and a cable, anchored to the door at points at the top and bottom of sash movement, extends parallel to the direction of window movement from the anchors to the sash and around the guides such that any up or down movement of either end of the sash is transferred to the other end so that both ends move together, thereby preventing tilting of the glass.

  • Patent number: 5050350
Abstract: This panel is provided on its face turned towards the inside of the door with means for the fastening and preassembly on this panel of internal elements (8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) of the door, in particular window lift (8), lock (12), slide (11) for guiding and locking the window in the lowered position, and inside opening control (13), and these elements are provided with means for fastening to a panel (2) forming a structure inside the door. This arrangement considerably simplifies the structure of the door by eliminating an internal plate supporting the elements, while at the same time enabling the trim panel (7) to be disassembled easily, and consequently servicing to be carried out on the various elements.

  • Patent number: 5036621
Abstract: A sliding member for a window regulator having a substantially vertical guide rail lip channel cross sectional shape. The sliding member is capable of sliding internally of the guide rail. A carrier plate has a shaft to support the sliding member and fixedly supports a window pane. The sliding member has a rigid body with guided surfaces facing to the guide rail and has protrusions made of elastic material which slidably contact the guide rail. The protrusions are located on a part of the guided surfaces of the sliding member. The sliding member minimizes pivotal instability of the carrier plate during sliding movement of the window pane.
