Abstract: A self-fastening window attachment clip is disposed within a cursor attached to a window lift mechanism. The clip includes a locking portion engaged with an attachment member secured to a window and received within a slot of the cursor. The clip includes a locking portion and a biasing portion that secures the attachment member within the cursor. The clip is disposed within the cursor and orientated such that insertion of the attachment member flexes the locking portion out or the slot. With the attachment member in contact with the biasing portion, the locking portion is free to spring back across the slot and engage a top portion of the attachment member. The locking portion engages the attachment member and prevents removal of the attachment member from the slot of the cursor.

Abstract: Methods, assemblies and apparatus related to a mid-travel glass load of full drop glass into a lift plate involve use of a support pin traversing a carrier plate to immobilize the lift plate at a mid-travel position. When the lift plate is properly aligned at the mid-travel position, pin extensions of the support pin extend through holes in the carrier plate and lodge in wells in the lift plate. Removal of the pin extensions from the wells mobilizes the lift plate again. Abstract: A vehicle door, wherein a drive unit for raising and lowering a glass plate is constructed so that a pluraity of pulleys across which wires are laid are provided at upper and lower sides of a base panel. The glass plate is moved up and down by driving the wires, the glass plate is prevented from moving in a vehicle inward direction when the door is closed. Wire fixing portions are prevented from being damaged by great upward and downward stroke movements of the glass plate. Furthermore, the wires are prevented from slackening when the wires are driven and stopped by a supporting rod along an upward and downward movement locus of the glass plate, and by a contact member which has no contact with the supporting rod. Trumpet-shaped guide portions are located at hole edges of the wire fixing portions, and the circumferential surfaces of a tensioner are V-shaped for eliminating slack in the wires.

  • Patent number: 7021006
Abstract: Disclosed is a window assembly for use in mass transit vehicles which allows the quick and easy removal and replacement of transparent sacrificial glazing panels which protect the glazing of the window from vandalism and wear. The window assembly utilizes a sacrificial protective panel and mounting arrangement which allows quick and easy replacement of protective panels on one or both sides of the window assembly, but inhibits removal by non-maintenance personnel such as vandals. The frame of the window assembly incorporates one or more retainers which fit into slots along the interior sides of the window frame and sandwich the glazing between the frame and the retainers. In turn, the retainers are essentially “locked” into position in the frame by an inner protective panel, which significantly inhibits the removal of the retainers from the window assembly when the protective panel is in its desired position against the windowpane.
