Inclined Opposed Member; E.g., Vent Window-type Patents (Class 49/391)
  • Patent number: 10723460
Abstract: A toilet module attachment assembly that includes a retainer member that is adapted to be secured to a wall. The retainer member includes a wall attachment flange and a press fit portion extending generally inwardly from the wall attachment flange. When the retainer member is secured to a wall a channel is defined between the wall and the press fit portion. The attachment assembly also includes a seal member that includes a bulge portion that is received in the channel of the retainer member.

  • Patent number: 4891909
Abstract: In a vehicle body having a triangular window opening, a glass closure for the window is mounted on a shaft pivotably mounted in the body. The rotation of the shaft is limited by the engagement between a rotational stopper mounted on the shaft and a fixed stopper mounted to the vehicle body. The cam portion of the rotational stopper extends in the axial direction of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4614058
Abstract: A protective system for the vent window of a motor vehicle that comprises a metal mesh member positioned across the vent window inside the vehicle. A blocking pin connected to the mesh member extends laterally at a location that blocks rotational movement of the vent window latch from a locked mode onto the adjacent door frame wherein the vent window is prevented from being rotated from its closed position to an open position. The mesh member has a frame that includes a forward angled frame portion and a horizontal bottom frame portion that are adapted to secure the mesh member to the front door. A plate is secured to the front door via window regulator plate screws. A hinge secured to the plate and the bottom frame portion is adapted to rotate the mesh member about a horizontal axis to a position away from the vent window. A mounting bar having a slidable member is secured to the front door via vent window frame screws.

  • Patent number: 4407093
Abstract: An improved vehicle ventilating window assembly which includes a non-circular pivot rod fitted within a circular opening in the window frame. A washer having spaced projections thereon is provided to fill the spaces created within the opening when the rod is inserted, thereby allowing a snug fit of the window within the frame with little or no transverse movement of the window with respect to the frame.

  • Patent number: 4368603
Abstract: A window with a pivotable frame having different inclinations with respect to the sun when in closed condition. There are two inclined fixed casings whose planes cross each other along a straight line which serves as pivoting axis for a window frame. In the closed state of the frame in the first casing the frame is parallel to the rays of the sun on fht day of the summer solstice, and in the second casing it is perpendicular to the rays on the day of the winter solstice.

  • Patent number: 4007958
Abstract: A motor vehicle has a cab that has forward observation windows in the front wall on opposite sides of the main frame below the windshield, and an access door at one side with cab side windows in the door and on the opposite side. A pivoted, outwardly opening window structure may be used in either location. The window structure has a lock to secure it in any desired position between a sealed closed position and a fully open position. The lock operates by clamping onto a hinge pin, and is readily manually manipulated from inside the cab. As used on a forward observation window, the pivot axis is so located that opening the window does not interfere with a windshield wiper arm and blade for the window that occupies a generally upright parked position near the main frame.
