Abstract: A sash guide for a hung window includes a plate having a first end and an opposite second end defining a longitudinal axis. The first end configured to mount to a side rail of a window sash and the second end having an outside surface spaced from the side rail in a transverse direction. The transverse direction being substantially orthogonal to the longitudinal axis. A cam block is disposed proximate the second end and between the plate and the side rail. An adjustment fastener is coupled to the cam block and configured to slide the cam block along the longitudinal axis such that the outside surface of the second end is adjustable along the transverse direction and in relation to the side rail.
Abstract: A door frame component is provided. The door frame includes: a front wall, a rear wall, an outer wall and an inner wall; a length of the front wall being substantially the same as a distance between the inner wall and the outer wall; an internal cavity at least partially defined by space between the inner wall and outer wall; and opposing first and second gripping sections defined in the internal cavity at least partially by first and second internal flanges in the internal cavity. The frame has sufficient structural integrity such that when the frame is cut height wise between the first and second internal flanges into front and rear sections, the front section can support a door on its own without the rear section.
Abstract: A three-dimensional edge cladding for an architectural opening that includes a forward facing portion having a substantially constant first profile along a longitudinal axis. The forward facing portion includes a plurality of spaced apart nailing flanges, stepped surface topography projecting generally forward and away from the flanges. A longitudinally extending channel receives a side facing portion having a substantially constant second profile that include a portion that is generally orthogonal to the nailing flanges. A joint cover portion for covering the section where two or more edge cladding members meet.

Abstract: A window includes a vacuum insulating glass (VIG) window unit in a window frame. The window frame includes at least one vacuum insulated structure (VIS) for improving the insulating functionality of the frame, so that the frame can adequately insulate the periphery of the VIG unit. Such windows may be used in residential and/or commercial window applications for buildings. The use of a window frame having at least one VIS is advantageous in that allows for improved window frame thermal performance and a narrow frame design if desired for improved aesthetics.
Abstract: A window or door is constructed to accept one or more intermediate pieces which may be used for adjusting the depth of the window or door. The intermediate piece includes, on one side, a first hook and an outrigger, and on the other side, a second hook and structure defining an outrigger receiving slot. The intermediate pieces lockingly and securely mate with the interior and exterior sections of the windows or doors.
Abstract: A center-channel protector for a vehicle sash door is arranged between a main sash and a center channel. A body of the protector has an H-shaped upper-end surface which is compatible to cover the upper end of the center channel. The body integrally includes a pair of branch covering portions corresponding to a pair of branch portions constituting the center channel and a middle covering portion disposed between the branch covering portions so as to connect the both branch covering portions therewith. An engaging portion is provided with the body and is mechanically engaged, in a direction intersecting a vertical direction, with an engaged portion which is provided with a center channel side. In collaboration with the engaged portion, the engaging portion constitutes a fastening mechanism by which the protector is fastened on the center channel.
Abstract: A vehicle door is disclosed that has a movable window and a window regulator including a regulator rail and a regulator slider slidably mounted on the regulator rail and engaging the window for movement between a closed position and a fully open position. The door also has a window down stop stabilizer assembly including a position detecting assembly that detects when the window is in the fully open position, a bumper movable between a first position spaced from the window and a second position in contact with the window, and a bumper actuator that moves the bumper into and out of contact with the window. When the window is in the fully open position, the bumper actuator will move the bumper into the second position and when the window is not in the fully open position, the bumper actuator will move the bumper into the first position.
Abstract: A window or door assembly including a jamb member and a jamb liner having a fastener opening coupled along the jamb member. A sash is moveably coupled along the jamb liner. The window or door assembly includes a structural filler coupled over a portion of the jamb liner, and the structural filler substantially conceals the fastener opening. The structural filler includes a flange sized and shaped to engage with the sash, and the flange substantially prevents movement of the sash over the structural filler. In one option, the flange extends along the structural filler and the sash. The structural filler further includes a contact surface engaged with the jamb liner and a projection rotatably coupled with the jamb liner, and the structural filler rotates in a first direction around the projection.
Abstract: A window retention system includes a door frame having an exterior panel, an interior panel, an opening therethrough defining an inner peripheral channel, the exterior panel includes an upright portion extending along the channel so as to be directed toward the interior panel; and a resiliently flexible window retainer strip yieldably interlocked with and thereby detachably mounted on the door frame. The retainer strip has a longitudinal axis and a first upright portion spaced from and in opposing relation with the upright portion of the exterior panel so as to delimit a first track in the channel and retain the window element therein. The strip includes a second upright portion laterally spaced from the first upright portion. The second upright portion is biased towards and yieldingly interlocks with the channel. A flange extends from the first upright portion of the strip to engage one of the door frame panels and thereby secure the first upright portion of the strip against rotation in a vertical plane.

Abstract: An access panel assembly with a door and multi-functional frame which prevents sagging and warping of the door from the frame, and which is more safely and easily installed in both new and existing building structures. Flush mounting of the door to either face of the frame is achieved by a symmetrical mechanism wherein the inner edge of all four sides of the frame opening contains a molded, shallow groove which is equidistantly located from the two faces of the frame. The door contains on its underside a plurality of molded tabs, wherein each edge of the door has one or more tabs located adjacent thereto. The molded tabs are resilient so that they deflect when the door is press-fitted into the frame from either face. The molded tabs slide into the shallow grooves and hold the door firmly in place. Further, the door also contains one or more knockouts on the underside thereof, wherein each knockout is positioned near an edge of the door.
Abstract: A molded, one piece plastic glass stabilizer for capturing a side edge portion of a movable window in a frameless vehicle door when the window is lowered is disclosed. The stabilizer is supported in cantilever fashion and has a U-shaped portion defining a pair of spaced legs and a vertical through recess through which the glass passes. The legs include pairs of deflectable fingers having elliptically shaped free ends which are deflected by and engage the opposite sides of the glass with a minimum of friction while preventing rattling and vibration of the glass.
Abstract: A sealing arrangement primarily for a sluice gate which comprises a frame and a door movable between an open position and a closed position in which it closes an opening in the frame and sealing faces of the door and the frame are in sealing engagement to prevent the flow of liquid through the opening. The sealing arrangement comprises an intermediate wedge section strip interposed between two side strips having inclined planar faces in contact with the inclined planar side faces of the intermediate strip. The intermediate strip is either arranged to bear against the door or secured to the frame, and either one of the side strips is secured to the frame or both side strips are arranged to bear against the door respectively.
