With the opposing roller being used as a handle, the hamburger press is pressed onto a hamburger roll. A patty press is a cylindrical member with a flat bottom and an upwardly depending sidewall that define a hollow central portion. The patty press receives an appropriate food product therein and thereafter the hamburger press is received within the hollow central portion and presses onto the food product in order to form a patty out of the food product.

  • Patent number: 7404228
Abstract: A yoke type paint roller frame having a pair of arms joined at one end and each one terminating at the opposite end on which a roller of selected length can be journalled. A cross bar is connected to respective ones of the pair of arms at a preselected location thereon spaced from the roller and is prevented from sliding longitudinally along respective ones of such arms. At least one end of the cross bar is detachably connected to the frame arm associated therewith by a means for connecting such as a snap fit.

  • Patent number: 7389560
Abstract: The invention disclosed herein provides a system, apparatus and method for removing a paint roller cover from a paint roller frame. The paint roller frame includes a handle having a movable button, a hollow support shaft, a roller support pivotally attached to the hollow support shaft, a spring mechanism and a cable that is connected to the button and the roller support. The paint roller cover is released from the paint roller frame by pressing the button. When the button is pressed the cable is pulled towards proximally. As the cable is pulled proximally, the roller support is moved towards the spring mechanism. The movement of the roller support towards the spring mechanism causes the spring mechanism to transform into a position to release the paint roller cover.

  • Patent number: 7381489
Abstract: A fuel cell stack (50) includes fuel cells (16, 18, 19) with anode and cathode water transport plates (23, 31, 34, 37) having porosity of at least 50%, thereby to significantly increase the amount of water stored within the water transport plates when the stack is shut down, which doubles the heat of fusion as the ice in the pores melts during a startup following freeze. This extends the period of time before the water in the pores reaches a hard freeze at ?20° C. from 180 hours to 280 hours. A controller (60) controls the bypass (55) of a heat exchanger (54) to cause the temperature of the stack to reach a temperature sufficient to raise the sensible heat of the stack by 20%-40% above what it is with the fuel cell power plant operating steady state, prior to being shut down, thereby increasing the hours required for the fuel cell to cool down to 0° C. in ?20° C. environment from 60 hours to 90 hours, allowing easier startups when shut down for less than 90 hours.

  • Patent number: 7293319
Abstract: An improved paint roller frame made from a single length of rod having a first 90 degree bend delimiting a first segment formed at one end thereof and adapted to form an axle about which a paint roller can be rotatably mounted, and second and third bends delimiting second and third segments both of which lie in a plane in common with the first segment. The remaining portion of the rod is further deformed at a mid-portion thereof to include a fourth bend in which the rod is wound through 391 degrees about an imaginary axis extending parallel to the first segment and delimiting a fourth segment lying in the common plane and a fifth segment lying in a plane intersecting the common plane at an angle of 31 degrees, the fifth segment being adapted to be affixed to an elongated handle member. When combined with a paint roller and handle, a novel paint roller assembly is provided in accordance with the present invention.

  • Patent number: 7281291
Abstract: A paint roller tool includes first and second paint rollers, mounted to extend from shaft portions of a frame and to turn about axes of rotation perpendicular to one another. Each of the paint rollers includes a peripheral cylindrical surface and a distal end covered with a material suitable for holding and applying wet paint. The paint rollers are separated from one another in a direction perpendicular to both of their axes of rotation and are aligned with one another so that the distal end of each roller is aligned with an outer edge of the cylindrical peripheral surface of the other roller, so that an “L”-shaped area at an interior corner can be painted.

  • Patent number: 7281292
Abstract: The combination paint roller frame and scraper allows a painter to accomplish two tasks with a single tool and includes a paint roller frame, an elongated scraper member, and a hinge or pivot mechanism attaching the scraper to the paint roller frame. The paint roller frame is a standard frame having a roller cage assembly, a shaft for receiving the roller cage assembly, and a handle for supporting the shaft. The scraper member is an elongated scraper having a first end and a sharpened second end, with the first end being pivotally attached to a vertical portion of the shaft of the paint roller frame. The pivot mechanism attaching the scraper to the vertical portion of the shaft of the paint roller frame allows the scraper to be flipped between an “up” or “in use” position, and a “closed” or “not in use” position.
