Abstract: Multi-layered bags include an outer layer or bag and an inner layer or bag that is shorter than the outer layer or bag. The shortened inner layer or bag can stretch or expand to the outer layer or bag when loaded with objects or otherwise strained. Such multi-layered bags can allow for a reduction in thermoplastic material without compromising the strength of the multi-layered bag. In various implementations, the inner layer or bag may be non-continuously laminated, continuously laminated, or joined only along one or more edges to the outer layer or bag. Implementations including non-continuous bonds securing the inner layer or bag to the outer layer or bag can provide additional strength to the bag. The region is formed by an overlap of a flat plastic web. The overlap is arranged between the two outer edges of the flat film. The at least one glued or sealed seam includes one or both of longitudinal seams. The interior wall includes at least one opening having a size sufficient to allow gas to escape from an interior portion of the container and to enter into the region between the interior and exterior walls. The at least one opening is located at a spaced distance from the at least one sealed or glued seam. At least one spacer is located between the at least one opening and the at least one sealed or glued seam.

Abstract: A bottom gusset bag includes a bottom gusset connecting a front and rear panel. The side regions of the front and rear panels are sealed to each other in a pair of side seams in a manner such that when the bag is unfilled it is flattened and when the bag is filled it is substantially a six-sided cubic shape with the bottom of the filled bag formed of the bottom gusset being substantially flat. The bottom gusset bag further includes a handle that includes a strip of material interior of the bottom gusset with the ends of the handle joined to each pair of side seams. Further, the bottom gusset bag can include weakened portions in the bottom gusset on opposing sides of the handle that, when broken, expose holes for a hand or fingers to enter the bottom gusset and wrap around the internal handle for carrying the bottom gusset bag with the bottom facing upwards.

Abstract: A container comprising an absorbent sheet and methods for manufacturing the container are disclosed. The absorbent sheet is attached to the upper part of the container inside in a manner that is readily detachable when needed to clean a contamination or a spill. The absorbent sheet may cover one side to as many as all four sides of the container, have one or more plies, form a continuous sheet or cover any one side as individual sheets, and contain perforations to reduce the likelihood of tearing the sheet upon removal. A method for affixing the absorbent sheet to the container comprises spraying adhesive onto designated areas on the base container sheet and affixing absorbent sheets to the areas containing the adhesive prior to folding the container. In another embodiment, the method comprises spraying the adhesive and affixing the absorbent sheet after the container is folded.

The visual indicia space (16a), i.e. the viewable space on the front (32a, 36a) of the folder which allows viewing of the enlarged tab is achieve without violating the overall size restrictions (40a) of the file folder. Instead, the front of the folder adjacent to the tab on the back panel, is cut away (32a,34a) to expose a greater portion of the back panel (14a) and allow an increase in visual indicia space. Abstract: This disclosure describes a secure access; easy opening tamper evident feature for sealable bags. The tamper evident feature provides dual zones for tamper-detection and may be sealed within a bag to form a package in such a manner that allows for the filling of product into the package and the handling of the package to be safely made, as the tamper evident feature may be positioned away from deleterious contact with the product. The package may be a combination of the tamper evident feature and a flexible bag. The package may include an easy opening end configuration for secure access inside the bag when the tamper evident feature is exposed and subsequently torn open by an end-user along the dual zones for tamper detection. The package may be formed with bags having side gussets or, alternatively, with folded-closed end. Methods for making and filling such packages are also provided.
